I appreciate the guys who take a team and try to rebuild it with its real life players. It's a neat challenge, and refreshing to see a team without Messi.
My last acquisition was Maik Taylor, GK with 1 on 1 saver card. I've stopped buying players who have no cards. I've only played him in a few games and have noticed some difference, but he needs more games before I can pass judgement. He was probably my most expensive signing besides Beria both at about 2.3 million.
My strategy for team building has been participate in tournaments, play as many games as possible in tournaments, then after I make a couple million, I find the weakest starter on the team, sell him for 1 million, and buy a replacement for nearly 3 million.
But I'm thinking of buying bench players and getting rid of the super cheap players I have. That way if someone is purple arrow of death, I can sit him on the bench. But I doubt I spend any more than 1 million on bench players.

I've started with Lazio but I'm only buying players I'd consider to fit into their 'bracket' so to speak. So far I've bought Carlos Martins, Jelen, Vukojevic and Victor Montano.
I'm intending to buy actual Lazio players (Zarate, Floccari etc) when I get the cash rolling in (only played 5 games, won 2 drew 3 conceded 1).

Really not sure who to buy as wingers, got 9 million to spend, currently have Downing LMF Overal 75*, and Trochowski RMF Overal 78.
Im not really up for buying a Ribery or a Robben quite yet, I quite enjoy beating all these elite squads Ive come across, and I have got quite attached to my ever increasing bank balance (D2 cup ftw)
But its time to add more depth to my attack, anyone play Bale left wing? his overall stays at 80, then Id buy a LB and move him further up the field.

Ashley young and Arda turan are probably worth a look maybe Steven pienaar, G Dos Santos hes got a few cards and left footed .

try rosina, his overall is 74 as an amf, move him to the sides and you just got yourself a 82 overall winger for less than 2.5mil,and i have to say, hes quite brilliant

Victor Montano is pretty a pretty good choice as well, he's overall 70 for CF but 76 for RWF.
Yes, I played him for a while as winger. And I have to say he did not really live up to my expectations there.
He was far from rubish, but he did not really shine (As he does when playing at LB spot now).
I would suggest playing perhaps Milans Abate. Way more fun to play as winger then bale and can also be moved back to LB or RB position with great efficency.
Does anyone find that the ML Open are more easier than the CUP competitions? for some reason I find it very tough in the CUP competitions so now I just compete in the ML Open. The other day I reached the semi-finals of the ML Open, I came across this guy called "danelec2" this cunt disconnected from me straight after kick-off and he was awarded the victory and I just don't get it as my internet connection was fine, I was ROBBED and I hope these bastards can be banned by KONAMI, fucking wankers who disconnects such a shame, oh well I got £1mil for my semi finals
its probably because in ML open you play people from all divisions where there are going to be people with lesser teams, in compare to the division cups where if you're division 3 or higher, you're going to play people with good players..and for the disconnecting shit, i got robbed last night too, this douche disconnected the game in the semi finals, but because he ranked higher than me in the qualifying rounds he got the win
Ive played 4 D2 cups today, 3 of which I went out in the Semi final, WHILST taking part in the penalty shoot of which 2 I was winning... the game expired on both... my opponest milked every replay, paused for the whole 90 seconds, let the counter go down to 0 and half time and b4 the match... I was booted both times, as the opponent finish above me in the rankings... this is a disgrace. One guy had a £140 million squad... so angry.
On another topic, decided to sign Valencia as Krasic was over priced for his ability. So far so good, scored a winner on his debut!

I was in ML open knockout stage (coach mode late at night with hardly anyone on) and this douche tried to disconnect, unfortunately for him I was the #1 team from qualifying.
But yeah, Konami states in the tournament regulations that disconnecters will be disqualified, but I've found that to be an utter lie just to try to scare people into not doing it. The reality is it's all automated with no moderators AT ALL.
The people with large teams who have already played 1,000 games are mostly cheaters who milk the system. And for what exactly? So you can have Ronaldo and Messi on a team? Whoopdie fuckin doo.
and if yo've played over 1,000 games on PES11, you've played over 166 hours. That's a month of working full time.....I think saying "No Life" is an EXTREME understatement.
