Just saying, your team isn't very creative. 3 strikers with 2 AMs (5 players in attack), and you've got the most expensive players.

Wouldn't it be more rewarding to do more with less, and not have to rely on an all world team?

But if you want to get your panties in a wad, go for it, I wouldn't expect anything less. (btw why would my GK be snoozing? Shouldn't you have said the opposite?)

I've got a couple other formation ideas, I just wish PES didn't force you to play a striker.

and IMO, doing more with less (talent) is always more impressive. For instance, I'll prefer a pistol over a rocket launcher in shooting games.

Agree. Messi, Crynaldo and the other once are ... well like buying a IKEA bench and say that its a personal bench - almost everyone has them. When i make a team I want the team to have a 'soul' like makeing the german national team or a classic team with older players.

Havegot to say Vangelis that there are two schools of thought on this one. Fair enough, you've got the cash by winning games to buy these players but how did you get on while you were building up to that point with lesser players, what's your overall record?

Maybe if I had the money I'd be buying those players too but I'm personally so chuffed to get to Div 2 with a team around £20mill and I think the others are saying something similar- they'd rather discover a gem of a player that nobody else has heard of than win x number of games with Ronny, Messi etc etc

Personally I love the idea of a 'theme team' possibly of midgets but I'm gonna wait until I get to Div 1 as that's my aim!

As an aside my record is 246 / 137 / 173 as figured it'd be rude not to share as I've asked yours! Hope I'm not boring everyone with my ridiculously long posts lol

my stalwarts are:
Martins 361 appearances, 246 goals and 74 assists
Barnes: 430 / 29 / 71
DJ Campbell: 424 / 31 / 36
Annecasila: 368 / 122 / 71

and I've just dropped to Div 3 but in for promotion again.

the end justifies the means which mean that i have a target (and thousands of others) and we try to reach it.

What you say could be very easily manageable in exhibition matches when your friend picks real madrid and you try to beat him with saragosa. MLON is very challenging and NO ONE with a bad team will ever win it.

ALSO as you know there are RANKINGS about the most expensive and about teh strongest squad. When someone plays to win something (MON) he needs to comply to the rules

this is my second MLO team, slowly building a team of players who played in the dutch league(i know cahill,querna and fuller never did)

no offence cause it might not be true for you, but what a starting 11 like yours tells people is that no thought was given when building the team, just going straight for the most expensive players in the game

Tbh, I've beaten a lot of teams like yours. Just because people play a bunch of games and get a bunch of money, doesn't mean they are good at the game. They may have had the "best" but they didn't know how to play. Judging by your record you probably do know how to.

There is just something satisfying with having a lesser squad and beating people who only buy players based on their name.

But it's your game, you can play whichever way is most fun. Fun for me is making new/realistic tactics. (btw I've seen teams in d3 or higher who have mostly default players).

My main gripe is the overall lack of diversity within MLO. I'm sure you often play against the exact same players that are in your squad.

Not sure how this could ever be fixed for MLO while keeping the game fun.

1) means that i got bored of my team i started with and made another team from default

not true sir, i was first in d1 for a good while with a squad that was pretty good, but not as good as yours, it was something like this if i recall

Sadly the win rate is not that much higher than my second team, at a 63.1% only, main reason was because i played a shit load of coach mode while studying and doing my university work lol..another fail by konami to include coach mode in your overall record
my second team which i started 2 weeks ago is in div3, just waiting for monday to get into div 2, with only 1 player which is my cb that cost more than 3mil.
at the end, not judging anyone, its your choice how to build your team, just saying what impression it gives me when i see people with a squad like that, but i might be wrong, maybe you did put alot of thought into how your team is going to play and who to buy.

there is no reason to fight over that. the most important thing is to have players that you love. for example ibrahimovic has a higher rating than my attackers and i could put ronaldo as a SMF to have 98 and shoot essien cause he is just 85 etc. no, i do what i like and so should you.

But the bottom line is NO ONE with a team with any less than the best players will ever win the D1 rankings. so i want a shot on it
