Ronaldo easily been one of my best players too. I managed to sign him in my first season via a trade plus cash. He's a bit prone to injury so as soon as I am in a comfortable lead he is subbed.

Muller proving to be a really good purchase, came off the bench and scored in the 87th, 91st and 92nd minute in my last game, 6 minute hattrick.

My premier league winning streak has come to an end.

22nd game and I drew 2-2 with MK Dons.

Still on for the sextuple, having already won the charity shield, super cup and world club cup. Just need to win the FA cup, premier league and champions league.

After I've won all trophies possible, my next target is always 100% record in the league, usually around season 5 or so (provided I get that far into my ML). I'm fairly invested this year so that's what I'll be aiming for. It's never easy, but when you pull it off, it's a beautiful thing.

Has anyone notice the 'expected progress' development lines can change?
I've noticed this for a few players not at my club.

Also, it's kinda annoying that for some players it seems to level out at age 22/23. Players should keep developing until mid 20s at least, and later for defenders and goalkeepers.

Yea, those development lines can change based on the players performances and game time. The more they play, and the better they perform the higher the development line will increase.

I think some players level out at an early age when they reach there peak earlier on. I think this just depends on the player, some can keep developing into their late 20s and others peak around 25 - similar to real life I suppose. Maybe in a new save it would not be the same? I do know that the players you own will develop much higher than normal compared to the same player in a CPU team.

Yeah, there was one guy who I wanted to sign - Ziyech, his line has already levelled out, age 23 (his line changed - initially there was a random dip, before it went up again). Whereas there's another chap - A. Gomes for Valencia, same age, yet his line keeps going up. I really want to sign him at some point. :w00t

What's Malcolm like? I have my eye on him for my next ML. Also Coman, I like the look of him to - I have a feeling from what I can remember in my save he peaks early...?...but it could be different in yours with some 'real' playing time and a development flourish.

Malcolm is developing reasonably well. Hasn't had any big flourish (he had a small one), but he's ahead of curve, 74 rated at the moment. His finishing could do with some work! Looks like Coman may peak/level out at early 20s, I can't recall.

Are you enjoying the actual matches, have you found a way around the crappy goalkeeping? Is it still a little bit too easy to score?

I Have to say that FIFA 16 (Career Mode) pissed me off a bit last night- I was Man United, playing at home, and Sunderland(!) scored in the 86th minute to equalise! I'm starting to think that they f---ed around with the gameplay in the 3rd patch. I love the actual matches, but I hate getting robbed of a home win like that! I dominated the match, what a joke. It was one of those moments where it was building, I knew the CPU was on a mission to score at all costs- they suddenly got all 'Barcelona on crack' on me!!

I don't think we'll ever get another fair game like PES 5/6.

Are you enjoying the actual matches, have you found a way around the crappy goalkeeping? Is it still a little bit too easy to score?

Only matches I've had real difficulty with were against Utd and City.

Tell you what, the more I play this game, the more I notice the lack of variety in CPU goals. 90% of them are low shots in the corner.

Ahhh... I was afraid that might be the case, at least FIFA is challenging to play, and the 85th-90th minute goals don't happen very often, they just piss me off when I've been playing well and deserve the win.

I just want a fair game.

I'm really struggling on fully manual settings/Superstar.. I can barely string two passes together & I'm not enjoying it at all because I'm losin every game. Its a bit too easy on assisted settings tbh so I'm reluctant to revert. Has any1 found a good balance yet?

Why don't you play on 'Professional' with fully manual settings, or was that too easy?

I got him in my 4th or 5th season, so he was developing at least until then.

I'm determined to get Gomes at some point.... ie when I have enough moneys.

They only do it when they're certain it will go in. But how can they be certain? :hmm:

I'd say it tries through balls the most, but only gets about half its goals this way, as my CBs generally cut them out. A fair few are from dribbling down the wing, cutting inside and passing to the feet of a CF in the box. But then the worst players on my team are the FBs. Updating them was the focus of this pre-season transfers. I now have players at about 82 OR in those positions as opposed to 75 OR. Once they settle it'll be interesting to see if this reduces the opponents' wing threat.

I did notice that some of you focus on FBs who are great at going forward and not so great/average at defending. Relying on pace is no guarantee of success in this version as opposed to previous versions of the game. Without Defensive Prowess and Ball Winning, defending can be very annoying in this game. LOL
