Just because you have 60mb down speed doesn't mean that you won't face lag in PES if you've got high ping jitter or packet loss on your line, while you can have a slow connection with low ping etc what will perform better.

The problem is not my connection, when I play with people that have more than 20MB there's no lag, I think Konami servers are really bad compared to EA serves for example, PES it's the only game that I felt LAG since I bought my PS3 4 years ago.

You don't need that fast a connection for smooth gameplay. In previous years when i've had a 3mb connection I've never had problems. Oh, and upload is more important.

Nearly DLC time, I'm expecting a world of disappointment.

In an ideal World, we'd get completely correct transfers, community and league mode, editable copa lib squads (or at least base copyable).

I expect none of these things.. Jon Murphy has disappeared too (although I know he got a lot of abuse on twitter - abusing the guy helps nobody - and he did say he'd mention league mode to the guys in Japan)

Sad thing to say but if FIFA had the same editing options, I'd probably make the change..

Maybe old past masters like 'Kick Off' and 'Sensible World of Soccer' could come back, I'd even welcome my old favourite 'Gazza II'.

I haven't touched PES this year because I felt last year's effort was so piss poor.

I've bought the game on the day of release every year for as long as I can remember but after playing the joke that was PES 2012 and hearing Konami admit they had pretty much given up on current gen PES I decided I wasn't going to hand over £40 of my hard earned to a company who have taken the best football game series EVER and turned it into a steaming pile of dog shit while showing no remorse for the game they once had, no concern for their extremely loyal fans and absolutely no "evolution" whatsoever.

I haven't played PES 2013 but I knew fine well it was only going to be PES 2012 with a few pointless things added (boots that uprgade stats? EH?) and a few useful features inexplicably removed (no league mode? WHY?) for good measure. You only have to glance at Konami's track record with PES over the last few years to know this would be the case.

I refused to be duped by the hype this year and I'm happy with my decision. I'll probably rent the game in 6 months or so once they've released the usual bug fixes and DLC packs in a half hearted attempt to make it a halfway decent game but we all know they wont fix the real problems this series has with mere DLC packs. Especially when they only turn out to be a few more boots or the option to turn your players into penguins or some such shit.

Whatever magic Konami had when it comes to making football games is long gone folks. PES needs a complete overhaul and a brand new team working on it from scratch. If that means we dont get a PES game for a couple of years that's fine by me because I'd rather wait for a quality product than be asked to spend 30 odd quid on a game that is barely worth half of that.

They should be ashamed of themselves for what they have done to PES. They have abused the trust of their loyal fans by feeding them shit for years while telling them it's candy.

I have traded PES 2013 for FIFA 13 after 2 weeks. With high hopes, I pre-ordered PES 2013 and received my copy a day earlier from the release date. Been playing everyday for two weeks and I'm not enjoying. No league mode, no updated roosters, ML black boots flaw, same old animation, brick wall defender's AI for CPU, trigger-happy reff for pulling yellow cards, stupid goalies and the list goes on and on...:realmad::realmad:

Gameplay massively improved but the enjoyment of playing a footy game is just not there somehow...:unsure: What's the point buying a game then.. Sorry Konami, I thought of coming back this year for PES...but I followed my heart rather than rationale. Konami, you have just betrayed one of many of your loyal customer once again. I lost some money for trading it with FIFA13...but I'm enjoying it every single time I switch on my PS3 :wub:. Perhaps I'll come back for PES in many years to come.

PES is and has been shit for a while now ....just check the regular threads ..nothing but complaints.

And yet I still see posts from some players telling us that PES is an amazing recreation of football and the best football game there has ever been! A couple of people on other forums go so overboard on how great it is that I genuinely wonder if we're talking about the same game! :shocking:

Each to their own and all that, one man's chocolate truffle is another man's stale goat shit.......I get that.......but it really is beyond me how some people are blind to the obvious flaws. Not as a football game but as a game in general. There are fundamental flaws in PES that no game should have in this day and age.

To my mind, me handing over £40 for PES today would be like giving Konami a huge pat on the back and saying "WELL DONE" even though they have put out a product that is well beneath the standard we know they are capable of for that last few years.

I could forgive the odd blip in quality but they seem to have completely lost their way when it comes to Pro Evo games. They haven't managed to get it right in this generation of tech and they've certainly had long enough to figure it out by now.

The whole thing smacks of complacency and genuine lack of interest on Konami's part. Probably because they know the hardcore element will buy the game no matter what and praise it to the heavens.

Unfortunately for us football fans the only alternative we have is the very "meh" FIFA because no other company will step up to the plate to break their stranglehold on the genre.

In D2 league, in penalty box I press Square button to clear the ball away to midfield, a AI player long pass the ball to a AI CF who are surrounded by my 2 CBs in P box, AI CF traps the ball onto top of his
head, perfectly redirect it towards my goal and the ball fall down right on his left foot, AI CF's body not even touching my 2 CBs, then VOLLEY it into the net, my goallie stands in the goal, do not do shit.

Just want to add something to the quote above.

It is true in real soccer world, exploit opponents mistakes can get you
goals especially important for lesser teams playing againt stronger teams.

I will have absolutely NOTHING to moan about if the ball is deflected off
from my player's ass to COM then bang it into the net, that happened
often in matches all around the world.

BUT..the thing is that damn ball(as quoted above) was....like travelling 45 miles/hour(something like that, i am not a scientist) in the air, how on earth somebody can trap it with top of his head let alone making contact and volleying. Why dont you long pass the ball directly into
the net. I can manage to deal with and tolerate COM cheats which has been toned down since PES 2012, but not nasty manipulating crap like that.

KONAMI, you twisted FUCK.

Really enjoying the Become a Legend despite being frustrated time and again by the AI not giving the appropriate pass or cross, teammate stupid "air" tackles that hit nothing but the shadows of the advancing player, insane mind reading abilities of opposition defenders which could intercept, block, tackle like real defenders do unlike my teammates regardless of which team I play in. There's also the issue where a perfect interception of a pass is almost impossible in which the opposition player passes directly infront of you or through you without making an attempt to go for the ball or even touching it with the entire foot but still be able to divert the ball to the path of another oncoming player.. It's so GOD DAMN FRUSTRATING!!! Smashed my keyboard multiple times and I think the arrow keys are not functioning properly anymore.. This is absolutely ridiculous, atrocious refereeing decisions which costed me penalties, good goal scoring opportunities and conceding from silly free kicks that shouldn't be given in the first place.. Yeah and 1 more issue that I think affects all PES 2013 players in any platform which is insanely lucky ricochets and super composed and accurate clearances albeit by GK or outfield players.. Every goal kick or a kick by the keeper seems to find their own player and creates opportunities. My keeper? Long hopeful punts that 8 out of 10 gives the ball to the opposition. How the f*** can the defenders clear a ball under enormous pressure and dangerous circumstances with so much accuracy and composure which finds their teammates almost all the time? This really takes out the realism of the game and should happen with lower frequency or on accordance to the players abilities.. Passing stats and ratings doesn't seem to apply to AI players as almost all of them can be a Xabi Alonso whenever they wish.. Hopefully I have touched some PES players out there who share the same feelings and frustrations as I do but for all I've said, I still love this game.. One of the best PES in terms of gameplay and enjoyability. Cheers!! Sorry for the long post tho..
