i only had this game for a week. not enjoying it much.

played some games online and one game was awfull. everytime they got the ball it was a long through ball. it was like ping pong football.

going to give this game a bit longer though.

Fuckin sick of AI cheats

Semi finals of champions league against Man City as Napoli. Lost 3-2 in first leg away, but score in first half of second leg to go ahead on aggregate. Then they get a bullshit free kick on the edge of the box from a perfectly legitimate slide tackle which defenders do nothing about, they head it in. Then 2 seconds later they make an attack down left flank, cross it in and another header in back of net. Game over. Conceded maybe 2 headers all season and scored about the same number of headers (because heading most of the time is very weak). And yet they just bury me with two BS goals out of nowhere. It was Aguero who scored both headers as well, and so both my big centrebacks were somehow beaten in the air by him. Ended match with 55% possession and double the attempts on goal. When the CPU wants to cheat it's less about what they do with their own players but what they do with yours; your players suddenly go AWOL which allows the CPU to score. I can't say how many times my players under control of AI are pulled out of position in order to allow the computer to score. I've rewatched replays of their goals and this is easily confirmed.

Thought Konami would have addressed this crap by now. The loss in the first leg was acceptable but sometimes the CPU outright cheats to gain the win and you could reply the match but what's the point? Then you just feel like you're replaying the match in order to secure the win rather than play properly yourself.

Other times it is weirdly easy so also unsatisfying. I played Juventus back-to-back in both the quarters of the champions league and Italian cup and gave them a good thrashing 4-0 in two of the games (note it's on professional). They were playing an aggressive 3-4-3 system but each match they left a pocket of space in their back 3 which I exploited in the same way each time to score easily.

Normally when you replay a match you secure the win but it feels like you're cheating, but I swear sometimes it just has to be done in order to preserve your sanity. I was playing a match which I needed to win for the title race against a weaker side, it was 0-0 at around the halfway point, then a ball comes into the box, their striker is chasing but no chance of getting, I was pressing B for keeper to clear it but he picks it up instead (note: keepers do retarded crap like this where they don't follow your command). Then just after he catches it my defender slide tackles (since B is also long ball/slide tackle) their striker and concedes a fucking penalty! Wtf? And after that I was pressing desperately for goals, but usually when you lose your calm like this you actually play worse. Ended up replaying the match and winning 2-1, but it does leave a bitter taste in the mouth having to replay.

I only read the last few sentences of your post, but I think I know what most of your post was about. And I agree.

I was playing the Copa do Brasil with Fluminense in Top Player difficulty, against Flamengo. We were leading 2-0 early in the match. On the second half, the AI does two scripted goals that really had me swearing and wanting to break my controller. Through balls that magically happened to roll by defenders and that stuff are one of the most annoying things in this game. Plus teammate AI is retarded. In Professional, teammate AI is retarded, but not to the point of not being able to win matches. However, in Top Player the jump in enemy AI is so big you have a hard time keeping your cool when you see some stupid mistakes your teammates make.

And let's not get started with AI free kicks, which, to my surprise, are less likely to find the net compared to PES 2011, but still accurate enough to completely destroy a match.

Ok a multiple RAGE moment for you Ali......Come sliding in for the ball from the front take the whole ball first...ie a perfect tackle but on this version as it was on last version... Yellow card.EVERY Beep time!!.....and thats not all...MANY TIMES when I make a non sliding tackle without trying to be dirty...Yellow card and have even been 2x yellow cards for playing pussy foot tackling...I meant what the F**** is that about..as how the heck are you sopposed to skillfully judge a tackle given your trying to work with a few pixles on a screen moving every which way

just played the ai he got 3-0 in front almost without me being able to do anything to stop him then i came back and eventually won the game 7-5.... then at the end watched the highlights and there was all 5 of his goals and just 1 of mine lol

I'ts happening all the time man this years physics and mechanics of the game mean especially with the improved ai (if you can call it impromved) means ai scores more easily and you can score more easily...My last 6-7 games have been like 8-12 goals... tbh last years game was better despite all the moaning...you know whatt they say

My rating is a low 150 which i'm trying to build on but when i play a 'quick match' i get put against 800 rated players even though my settings are set to 'similar levels' anyone else have this problem ?

Take the latest shit fuck of a match for example. Playing mother-fucking cagliari at home and narrowly missing lots of good chances to score, then in 70th (0-0) minute from my goal kick their dumb fuck centre midfielder heads it down, they win possession and control it easily, running at back four, takes on one CB easily, then shoots, keeper fumbles directly into path of other striker, goal. Team and defence in complete fucking disarray after a freaking routine goal kick. Then 2 minutes later one of my CBs who was on a yellow concedes free kick from soft tackle (not a slide or anything), gets another yellow, OFF. Then 2 minutes after that my AMF who was also on a yellow concedes free kick in their half and gets another yellow and off! OMFG.

I fucking hate this game. Truly. The AI cheats, this is a known fact. When the computer decides it wants to turn the game and around and score, it just does it, not only by making their players untouchable but by fucking with YOUR players so that they don't respond properly to their attacks. I could make an entire video reel documenting this bullshit by saving their goals if I wanted to. For example, in my last match against Sienna was it, it's around 70th minute or so (1-1), it's quite even, I'm thinking it'll be a case of grinding out the draw. I had some serious rage this afternoon playing online ranking matches.
Came up against someone with 400 points so thought I'd just pick a random team, landed on Ivory Coast and was quite confident even though I was facing Argentina and the beast that is Kunt Aguero. Absoloutly dominated, the guy could not defend against someone dribbling slowly. Everything was going against me though and his goal keeper was saving everything.

He ends up with a 3-0 lead where I've just been done by pace from Aguero.
Managed to pull it back to 3-2 with some screamers from Drogba at the 80th minute mark, but from there on out, it was just comical how nothing would go in.

It was like the world was against me and no matter what I did I wouldn't score.
90th minute one on one with Kalou and he hits the bar....Well, I'd tell you the expletives I burst out with but it would result in a permanent ban from the forum.

So I go into the next match still raging and manage to dominate my opponent who had a really high points tally but he quit cheated on me. I was really pissed off now.

About this time now I was a bit tired, but I can't turn the game off unless I get a win. So my next match I faced someone with 900 points:huh: and again dominated but it was like the world was against me and nothing would go in, again last minute fluffed my lines when one on one:facepalm: I turned the game off, got a shower and then went to watch United and get drunk.

I'm going to bring the payne on Sunday though using Brazil:shakesfist:

The AI are cheating bastards, you bloody your hands pounding against a brick wall that is the CPU defence and then they slice your defence open time after time with a single move.

Getting fucking sick of the computer's strikers always tackling my defenders just after I've tackled them. Just lost a game against fucking AC Milan. Should I have lost? No. Not at all. Went up 1-0 with a good goal, low cross from wide back across goal, striker tears away from defence and puts it in across goal. Then a bit later they play a ball wide to one of their strikers (Pato was it?), defender comes across, tackles him, then he IMMEDIATELY fucking snatches the ball back (even though I'd made command to long pass/clear), runs at the goal, scores. 1-1. I'm thinking, pass the ball around back 4 and grind out draw, but instead go for win. Later they do the usual lofted through ball routine, striker in on goal, scores. FUCK!! The first goal should never have been a goal, it was scripted AI bullshit at it's best; when the CPU becomes determined to score, it just fucks you over in the least gracious manner.

The fact is that you have to try extremely hard for your goals (on higher difficulties) because of the AI's ridiculously organized defense, but they tend to fuck you over easily whenever the AI randomly decides it's time they got a goal.

The fact is that you cannot play this game without sometimes restarting matches. I had to restart the match before last because I was making a routine pass from my back four to midfield, when the fucker tries to pass it to the player ahead of the one I was aiming for, and of course there was one of their players in between. From this mistake they easily do the whole through-ball routine, in on goal, defenders cannot catch them, goal. What the hell? WHY would he try and pass to a player who could not be passed to? There was no pass to make. Maybe because the power bar was charged up a bit, but that's no excuse - sometimes you feel out a higher power pass because you want it to go faster, NOT because you're aiming for the farther player. If there is no pass to be made out it shouldn't try and fucking make it, especially if it is the OPPOSITE of what I intended! And even if we accept the mistake, why is it so easy for them to exploit it? I don't score every time I intercept a poor CPU pass. My players weren't even out of position but suddenly, one pass intercepted, complete fucking disarray.

One more thing. When their players are in on goal you cannot catch them. The pressure of your defenders has less effect on their players than the pressure exerted by theirs. You have to make the through ball a very good one and have a decent striker and hope you're only being pressured by one defender if you want to make the goal. They routinely shrug off pressure from 2 defenders to score, and I always have to double up on a player if I want to even contemplate getting the ball off them.

Fix this shit Konami.

Read alot of the above posts and although just because you happen to lose does not make the game flawed or bad. the manner and mechanics of the way in which this happens was never going to endear players to love this version, and if people dont love or even like the game because of the AI "intelligence" they are going to be less likely to continue buying the series and therefore Konami loose sales and money

I believe they have pretty much given up on PES over the last few years and that's why we end up with these half arsed efforts.

The real problem is people keep buying the damn things so Konami think they're doing just fine.

So far the only things that bothers me are Referee and Free Kicks,its like they can't miss from free kicks,everyone god damn one is 100% goal.. They should make AI more realistic by letting them miss every here and there,it could be random.

Otherwise i'm playing offline on pc,game looks quite decent,i have everything maxed out on highest resolution. Tried FIFA 2013 demo and didn't like the core gameplay,so i'll stick with this one.

FUUUUUUUUUUUCKK!!!!!!!!!! My last few matches have been fucking EXCRUCIATINGLY painful - full of fucking AI cheating SHIT!!!!!! I had a really good first season on my Valencia master league, playing reallly good football and I start the second season with a much stronger squad and yet my football has gone to complete SHIT. Suddenly everything I was doing all season last season just doesn't seem to be fucking working, not making chances and not scoring as many goals. It's as though the AI detects you're having more success than you 'should be' and so fucking curtails it with it's BULLSHIT cheating.

Take the second to last match I played against Osasuna. I was actually dominating this game went up 1-0, they weren't really having any clear cut chances so I thought oh I'll probably just play this result out, probably get a second. Then cheat mode kicks in. You can always tell when it does because their players, usually a fucking cock suck winger or forward, just starts going crazy with the ball, running all over the place in a manner their stats do not permit, becoming completely untouchable. One of their arsehole players got in the box with the ball after running all over the fucking place, but had his back to goal and was covered by two defenders, one right behind him and then another sort of behind that defender, in line.

So what happens? One of their other players comes making a run in through the center. You can tell this is all totally scripted; player with back to goal in 18-yard box has ball, player making run behind him. It just has to be a goal for CPU. But how to accomplish this when covered by two good defenders? He fucking BACKHEELS IT through the legs of BOTH DEFENDERS. WHAT THE HELL? And then their player making the run just puts it straight in the bottom corner. I couldn't believe what I'd just seen. I even saved the reply so I could analyse this horseshit, and yeah it is simply impossible for this to happen - the manner in which it happened just ignored the presence of the defenders.

So I go from dominating 1-0 up to 1-1 with about 20 mins to go and the arsehole CPU doing their whole 'park the bus' routine. I actually ended up winning only from a long-range shot defected off their defender.

Next match fucking Betis and I could literally only manage ONE SHOT ON GOAL THE ENTIRE FUCKING MATCH. CPU again doing the park the bus routine combined with smash your players at every single opportunity without conceding free kick. Drogba on red arrow form with a body balance of 96 could barely even get a touch of the ball. Pure insanity. Match ended 1-1, turns out my only fucking shot on goal was the equalizer and secured a draw. If this horseshit continues where my players run around aimlessly and I get bossed by an inferior side, I swear to god I'm going to throw this fucking piece of shit game out the window.
