Pro-G played the game "as is" that means they did NOT install the game to the harddrive, they ran it from the disc. Every report suggests that installing the game to your PS3 almost completely eliminates the slowdown.

I don't believe them and they are wrong. I've played the full version in both states and there's no way they're playing a HD-installed version of that game. They're trying to get hits on their website, and it's working.

It's just that there's many reviews of the PS3 version, all saying it has slowdown but you can get over it, and then ONE review comes out from a completely unreliable website with no credentials and everyone takes it as gospel.

Yeah go to system settings in the game then to "install".

Should hopefully help a little.

Edit: Just done it and there does seem to me an improvement :)

where are you all getting the game from??? UK has apparently, in some stores, released the PS2 version early but nowhere has released the PS3

I got the game this morning (Im in the UK and have the UK version). Everyone has been moaning about the sowdown and im afraid they are right. Its not just slow on replays as some reviews suggest. (although i am playing on a standard TV set, Non HD)

I have tried changing the ps3 bd/dvd settings, installed the game (makes a SLIGHT difference) tried different camera views everything i can think of, but the slowdown IS noticable. It feels like playing high spec PC game on an old PC with a crap graphics card.....

I have loved Pro Evo since the PS1 days....this is the first time i have been dissappointed.

Are there any settings which i could have missed?

I have done as you said and installed it to my hard drive. Do I just run the game as normal like with the disc in or do I have to load it from the hard drive. I installed it and then carried on playing and it still jolted but I thought I saw an improvement but I could be looking for it.

I just leave the disc in. I don't notice anymore slow down during play now. Maybe it's just me :erm:

so we really are no closer to knowing bout this framerate/ slowdown issue. there's some vids on pesfan.com of pro-g's review n I hope its not my connection cause watching in game footage from the ps3 version looks shocking.

this is ridiculous konami. freakin silly. i thought these nex gen consoles were sposed to be the balls?

guys we gotta stand up gainst this shit if they need to fix this problem with an update or something.

Hopefully though im horribly wrong n it runs fine. (please god)
