Too easy to score, awful keepers, so mediocre :-(

i am feel TOTALLY let down by konami this year big time!
i am a real big fan of the pes games i have played and loved EVERY one and i didnt really want to slag this game off but i have to state my bad experiences, firstly i noticed the shit graphics hardly any of the players actually resemble who they are supposed to be, second thing i noticed was the fact how easy the game is to score i mean when i first buy a PES game i put it on regular to ease myself into the swing of things get my arse kicked a few times getting used to the different things konami put in and then get better and better put the level up to the hardest and have a good master league but on pes2008 I'm winning 4-1, 3-0 and 1-0 on "top player" 2days after Ive had the game (whats that about huh?) thirdly the passing OH MY GOD i think i would have better luck at passing if i slapped the ball around with a wet fish than those players, if I'm on the wing and i look at the map to see a free man on the opposite side to send a lobbed pass directly to his feet or chest i would like to do this because it looks like really good skilled passing but on this pes 2008 the ball just bounces and the dumass defender just stands there and watches it go for a throw, HOW ANOYING!!
my style of play is a passing possession counter attacking game in this game your lucky if you can string together 4-5 passes without your men running into the center and loosing possession its like watching school football!!! GRRR! I'm so angry at the fact that i cannot play football on a football game, football to me is NOT a defender getting the ball then making a mad dash round the pitch like benny hill have all his opponents run away from him till he gets near the box slap a shot and its either going in or the goalie is acting retarded!!!
i don't know if its just me but when I'm in midfield looking at the map to see if my attacker is making a run and i send in a through ball it takes the feel of a good pass out of it to see 2 defenders either bump into each other or both step over the ball and my player get it and BANG again its a goal, I'm finding myself purposely diving or not scoring just trying to make it resemble a football game but I'm obviously living in denial, don't get me started on the editing GRRR!
when PES game comes out my girlfriend shouts at me because i am NEVER off it any given moment the xbox 360 is on and I'm so into the game im shouting at the ref because of a bad decision or concede a goal ) this PES2008 there is NO atmosphere at all i may as well have a 2player game with my 3year old son because my son would probably do a better job than konami's joke of a game.

and i know there will be people out there who disagree but if you ask me its the TRUE pes fans on this site that WILL and ARE noticing these differences in the game and that will not tolerate it, i for one would rather play a cut down version of PES6 on the 360 and have more entertaining hours of football than play a stupid ass pes2008 fucking intelligent AI lmao what a joke!!!


is there anyone out there in PES land that feel the same? let me know

A little harsh at times but I can certainly agree with lots of it! The AI does seem very very dumb at times. Keepers are actually retarded beyond what they were on PES 4 where they would watch the ball roll into the net. Most goals come from defensive errors or the keeper being a dumb ass.

I don't know about anyone else but I don't feel that amazing satisfaction with scoring goals this year, it just seems to have lost it's magic... Can't work out why. Maybe because there's so many cheap ones.

I can easily put this game down. Easily. Like I would normally be playing this game all day every day especially around it's release but after having it nearly a week, I get bored of playing it after an hour or so. It doesn't make me want to try again or perseveer. Plus it hurts my eyes.

i didnt want to put this because i thought i would sound stupid and i thought it was just me but ive noticed my eyes hurting a lot when i play this game also i get a massive headach, pes 6 is much easier on the eyes.

PS3 version is plain awful, i'm a trying hard to like it. The PS2 version is much better, plays more like the old version. How the hell did they get the PS3 version wrong. They should of left the fancy graphics to FIFA. I think the PC version is also better

Just played it on a Samsung 52inch LCD and its like playing a different game, framerate is smooth. How can they do this it should play on a standard definition TV or at least give a warning on the box saying that it runs like pants on normal tvs. Would love to upgrade my tv but this shouldn't be neccessary. :angry:

Sorry, but i'm still struggling to understand why so many people got a PS3 & didn't think there would be consequences when using on SD.

You have purchased the most powerful home console ever made, yet only have the capacity to view at the same resolution as a Wii.

May i suggest that if you cannot afford to upgrade, and do not wish to steal, that you blink one eye rapidly while playing to counter the missed frames and details.

Yep, definetly gutted with it. Bought every Pro Evo for 10 years now and loved every one of them. This one is crap. Ball pings about far too fast, bounces off everything unrealistically, gameplay is far too fast, it's so arcadey, it feels absolutely nothing like real football anymore.

Having not bought a Fifa game for 10 years, I decided to give this years version a shot since I was so dissapointed with PES. It's a far better game and even then it has it's flaws. In a few years time, EA are gonna have the superior game and Konami have no one to blame but themselves.

What settings are you using ? I use wide

ficklered - there shouldn't be any difference what type of tv you use, other games run fine on SD, if thats the case they should put in the manual that PS3 should only be played on HD

Try using VVV Vento from the dutch league. Not easy to score with them, they are absolute bollocks!!!
