I've been struggling with the same problem until MatDerKater (thank you!) gave me that wonderful tip on how you can control your goalie and position him better. I haven't conceded as many goals from FK ever since. However be careful, don't move him too far away, middle is perfect; the CPU could shoot in the other direction and then you're screwed. You can control your goalkeeper by pressing L1 + pressing the right analogue stick, and then you can move back the same way. Make sure you do, otherwise you'll be stuck controlling your goalie only. Works fine!

Woah, is everyone really having that hard of a time in Master League this year?
Well, I am doing better than I expected, last year I took 6-7 seasons to finally start closing in #1's in League Games Champions League Semi-Finals/Finals
Anyway, I am currently 1st. place on D2 league, with 5 ponts away from the 2nd, 13 victories,5 draws, 3 losses.
Just went out of the January transfer month, this is how my team looks like after selling more than half of my team, and buying young 'cheapies'
Anyway, I am in Top-Player, and I find it not that hard so far. D2 teams' defence is absolutely ridiculous, my boy Uchida fuxxes everyone up :w00t
Speaking on defence, I really need to improve mine, my wins have been like 4-3, 3-2, 5-3, 4-2, etc; I do win, but hardly, I think I am yet to win a game without conceding a goal. My defenders are pretty bad to be honest :no:. Let's see what next Season's youth investment gives me.
On a second note, even though D2 teams are not that hard to beat, when I faces Arsenal in the first Cup knockouts game, I got schooled 5-1.. there is a HUGE difference in D2 teams to Premier League teams, Arsenal was absolutely powerful and devastating, had I think 71% ball posession, with 21 shots, while I had only 3.. And my goal was absolutely lucky and pathetic, not even worth explaining:lol:
Man, I am scared to play against teams like Barça, Milan, Real, etc; if I even get in the Premier League top 4 to get a spot in Champions League.. I think I'll be struggling for maintenance on the league for a few seasons, before my team gets strong enough.

I don't understand how you can score so many goals, but... Why do you have a completely different line up? how much money did you start with to afford so many players above 70 and some at 80? Also how could you replace original players so quickly if you are allowed to negotiate only 3. How do you score most of your goals? I find ai defense pressure is ridiculous and I cant break in with Ordaz or Ettori.

Started off with 5.3 million sold pretty much everyone on the team, gained at least 6 million more, then sold lots of the Youth Squad members for like 1.5million more. Palmieri had a great half-season, (went 67 to 73 overall) and Fiorentina bought him for 4 million (this was what saved me from going bankrupt from the player-buying spree, and gave me 4-5 more cheap players) Gained like 18 million, wasted every drip of it Nearly every player I bought was under 500k, some of them even 100-200k, Podoslki and Gotze were clubless, along with the likes of Coentrão, Kieran Gibbs, and a few more 75+ overallers, but those were far too expensive(salary-wise), I bought the cheapest ones
The most expensive player I bought was Uchida, costed 1.3 million :shocking:, next to Petorbenov which costed 830k
But damn, they are being VERY worthy.
Why is Uchida SS in my game though? I thought he was Side Back from the last PES game? Bug or something?
hmy:Well, I find D2 teams decent to beat, Uchida is a insane speed demon, Gôtze is class, Petorbenov is deadly in his runs, Podolski has that killer shot in him, while Dost and Kewuke have massive Body Balance, which almost no defender can withstand. The thing is though, like I said, my victories are very slim, I have a positive victory rate (50%+) but that is thanks to my killer attack. When it comes to mid-field and defence, I'm absolutely worthless. My team has 85 Speed and 81 Technique, and.. 62 defence :no:
The way I win, is by dominating the ball in the opponent's midfield (18 pressure), and always end up conceding goals in opponent's counter-attacks thanks to my weak defence.
I have 36 goals, and have suffered 28... I think I am yet to win without suffering a goal, and only won like 2-3 games with a 2+ goal difference.

I have to admit, I'm impressed. I wouldn't of dared do a radical change to the whole club like that. Kudos to you dude.

lol, i cant afford those guys yet.... just got axed, couldnt resist playing before jetting off to work... so now i have to start again...
and i had gottensome new players, was looking forward to playing my second season..
I am not sure about what Raykion is saying. 1. How can you replace your entire team if you are allowed to negotiate 3 players only? 2. It is impossible to sell classic line up players for 6m. They all together cost a little more then 1m. 3 In Ml you start with 3m cash. 4. I do not follow how pressing high can help you to score 4-5 goals in a game even with the team he has (I play pressing 14 so what? it does not make a huge difference).
Btw I am still trying to fight on professional after getting fired. I restarted the season and started new ML. I decided to spend all the money on players. I bought couple more players costing 0.5m from free agents. They are AMF 83 and CB 76. I played 5 games and I am actually to may own surprise doing much better now. I have 2-2-1 result. Although, I am finding it is really hard to play because pressure is unrealistically ridiculous. It reminds me fifa last year. It is not that enjoyable as regular level. I find regular game dynamics more real. I wish I could tone down that pressure from AI.

And isn't the ML cash random? This is the second ML I've started, the first one I started with 4.4 million, (forgot to save, lost everything, had Muckloak (80) and only costed me 370k :no
now this one I started with 5.3Plus, you need to know how to apply pressure correctly on oppenent's half, I use 18 pressure, and use the R2+Square defending technique, (it makes a AI-Controlled player rush into the opponent, while the player I am controlling stays a bit back if he decides to pass or sprint), you should try to master this, it's very nifty.
Anyway, trying to sign Muckloak, but I just can't. He is soooo cheap (300-500k) and has 80 overall. He would be perfect, since I drastically need to make my defence better.

Did you start with classic default ML line up with such players as Ettori, DoDo and Cinalton or club original line up (which club?)? There is no single player in the default which can be sold easily above 100k. I wonder if these are Pc vs ps3 differences? Now this is weird indeed.
I also use R2+A to pressure with some mixed success. This is good for defending but does not score you goals. It is scoring which is very hard because cpu is uber quick to intercept through passes or jostle you off the ball in or near the box.

Yes, the classic ML line up. This is weird, since Pes 10 that I have sold them for a fairly good price, always end up getting 4-7 million with them. 100k? That's impossible, my weakest player was sold for 214k o.0. Hell, if I found out a way to get a screenshot out of PS3 into here I would.

..actually SELLING your best players as well for profits. Many ppl tend to hang on with their guys cause they don't want to lose players they are attached to. But I've played at least in the ML beginning a lot in style = Buy cheap, develop -> sell.This results in better team overally later!
wow, did u buy anything in the shop? cause i saw an option there to start ML with more money
Also does anyone know if unlocking superstar makes top player easy, i have the strange feeling it does.

I finally made it to the europa league spots, beating everton 3-2 in a breathtaking match. Now placed as number 7 my goal is to get in to europa league next season (the chairmans goal as well even though it's my first season in div 1 playing as underdog side Fc Copenhagen)
However i've loaned Bendtner and later signed a permanent contract with him. He's absolutely awesome up front saving me every time
