as ive said in a previous thread in my opinion Konami and PES are just descending into a complete and utter shambles, the update will probably be shite anyway, nothing that cant be sorted in a good option file from here.

I don't understand how Konami get away with treating their customers so badly

konami dnt have to do this they doing it so we can enjoy the game more and may i add they aint charging us for it unlike fifa if konami wanted they could just leave the game the way it is and not update it !

Why don't people just use an option file rather than wait for the konami update ?.

I have an xbox 360 so I believe it would need flashing, thus invalidating the remaining warranty. Unless there is another way to use an option file.

I don't really want to do that as 360's are not the most reliable console, I'd rather wait until the 5/11/08 for the proper update.....oh wait it is 5th!!

Seriously though I can wait a few more days, Im playing BAL more than anything else at the mo.

It's really so awful that the PES 2009 team in KONAMI cannot sort out all the transfers even 2 weeks after releasing. Why do they bother to update then coz most option files or patch made by some players updates the transfers as well, and because of this KONAMI update, they have to wait and see what updates it applies. Simply awful.

If they still delay this, then there comes the January transfer window, so it's kinda pointless if they then want to release an update again for the January transfers, then probably we have to wait till april or may then there's the summer transfers... this is not gonna end..

This is a poor showing by Konami in terms of customer relations. They knew the game would require an update before they released it, so first of all they should have had it (the update) ready to follow hot on the heels of the games' release. Secondly, putting out an incomplete update (1.10) then having to withdraw it is incompetence one would not expect from any big name team. Announcing a date for a second update to right those shortcomings then failing to meet it is pure ignorance towards those who bought the game and are patiently waiting.

EA may charge for updates, but their game was ready to roll straight out of the box, and any forthcoming update(s) will likely land when announced, and be completed for that release!

I wish I'd chosen Fallout, or Dead Space, as the game bundled with my console now, as by the time Konami have PES 2009 as it should be, it could likely be got for a reduced price.

they couldnt have had the update till now as they would have been sued by EA thats why

Konami made the choice to update the game, so the least they can do is see it out in a timely, accurate fashion. Instead they're screwing patches up, releasing them anyway, withdrawing them so to correct their failings, and not meeting their own deadlines.

Why are some so bothered? Because many have been waiting on this update before editing anything. Instead of improving the gaming experience they're hindering the enjoyment for some. And stop talking out your ass. They could've had this update ready for release prior to November and released it on the 1st. But that would've required brains, time, and effort...

Waiting....
I actually thought it was meant to be out on the 19th, so I was surprised to hear it was out today. However, I've now realised that the later release date is for the dashboard update.

what do you mean Konami dont have to do anything for us? We all paid forty fuckin quid for the game which was out of date before it even left the factory!!! The online playability has been horse shite for the last 2 years!! and it takes more codes and usernames to access the "online" mode than it does to access the fuckin american nuclear defence system!! THEY OWE ALL OF US. Particularly when you can get a game now for 20 quid where the online playability is much better
