I've sussed it now marcosvt thanks anyway, I was trying to install the latest version of the option file without having the new konami patch. I've got the first option file installed now and I must say I'm very impressed guys, much respect to all involved. So Muffman and the rest of the team I salute you and keep up the good work guys, I'm looking forward to getting my ps3 online so I can get the latest update

You guys ever thought about a career change because yer have done a great job with these designs ect.

Lol now all I have to do is master the game and learn all the tricks so i can beat my mates.

Hi guy I'm new here and would like to say the work you guys put into creating these option files is outstanding.


The thing is I have downloaded the VON option file, unzipped it then transfered both the ps3 folder and music folder to flash card, installed flash card in ps3 transfered the mp3 files into my KONAMI_PES folder and they work fine, the problem I'm having is with the edit file, I have transfered every file individually took about 10mins, then loaded up my game then then went to start new game and got this message, load failed because data is from a different version - download content and update data, the thing is my ps3 is not hooked up to the internet so i'm guessing my pes 2009 is not updated to be able to use this option file and i have never been notified to update pes2009, i would really like to use this option file but i'm kinda stuck on how to do so lol.

Is there any way i can update pes2009 without connecting ps3 to net ?

Also I've installed my game data onto ps3 but it doesnt say what version i have in the info bit.

Any help will be really appreciated.

you can only update if connected to the net unfortunately. if you're not connected download v1.03 which is compatible with the previous versions of the game.

the muff ; i have your ( von option file ) install plus the 1.20 update ! and it still dossent work ? what do i do next from here ? I installed your option file first THEN the konami 1.20 ? where and how do i do wrong here would i need some updates from the game it self in download or so perhaps ?

try starting from scratch. upload the VON files again, start the game, go to download and get the patch but DO NOT SAVE when it asks. then load the edit data and you should be fine.

I downloaded the file and used unrar to extract the files onto my zip drive. I entered the zip drive into my ps3, and copied all 194 files. I also deleted my edit data and my old system data just to be safe. The only thing that i kept was my master league that i had. Once i started the game nothing changed at all. What did i do wrong?

you shouldn't need to delete anything as when copying the files they should overwrite. Best to start from scratch...see above ^^

Hi, just coping across files now(taking ages ) just wondering, what are the face files for? Do I need them?

face scans will give more realistic in-game appearances, so will make the game better (in a sense)

hey guys i sorted owt the rar file problem now
nw ive got the files copeyd them all 2 my ps3 n when i go to load the option file in edit data, it says load failed because data is from a different version. n tell me 2 download content and update data.
how do i do this ?

if you're connected to the net go to system settings (in the PES menu), download, and it should tell you if there's an update available. once it's done don't save...then load the edit data and you should be fine (taking into account you've copied over the VON files).

the automatic update that happens before the game starts up is NOT the konami update. this updates the in-game features (i.e. installs the download option in the menu). you have to go to system settings > donload > here it will tell you if there's an update available.

good work dude, really nice patch, however i got an issue, the team chants seem to be working only for those of Player 1, the team chosen by player 2 never seem to sing at all. is this a general issue or is it just happening to me?

I can´t put this patch to work!!!! when i try to load it, it says that has no option file...i have already updated the version of the game (the button "install" stays off right now!!)...can someone please help me?????????? i can´t put any patch to work!!!!!!!!!!

i entered the memory stick into the ps3 and was able to go to the music folder and copy all the crowd chants over to the ps3.
but the ps3 files do not appear when i go to saved utility data in the game folder. i have tried over and over again but the files do not appear!
any help would be greatly appreciated...

i think that's how it is mate, only chants for the home team

sounds like you haven't got the right folder names when copying them over...if you have then you might not be copying the files to the correct place.

check you have the correct folder names.

In game, you need to go to settings and click 'Download'

Sounds like you've either not got the edit data file/something is wrong with it or you haven't copied the data to the right place

lol, hey if Konami ever wanted to pay me money to do this I'd be happy to accept but I think they'd rather keep releasing it with a bunch of wrong names and awful faces

One question: why did you modify player stats?

I don't really modify stats. You might notice one or two differences from default stats on a few players but 1. They're nothing special/more than 1 or 2 points in single areas and 2. they're on people that definately need it (see Adebayor shot accuracy, Reina's GK skills etc)

However, even if I were to edit every player in sight , it'd be because it's my file. I do the editing to make my game better, not everybody elses. I don't release it for credit/'props' etc, I release it because I would do all of this editing regardless of whether I released it publicly or not (and do just about every year except 2008) and now that I have the capability to upload it to the net, I figure some (turns out a lot) of people might like to use it
