want a great striker to partner rooney

Well, Villa is a fantastic player on the game, but I recommend you get a tall striker like Peter Crouch, Adebayor etc. to complement Rooney's ability

I'd put someone tall with him. I'm a fan of the tall-small partnerships. It gives you more options.

I remeber the legendary partnership of M'Bomba andLuis Hernandez. They got tons of goals.

Crouch is decent very good in the air

Really, Messi, or Ronaldinho if you can pull him off. Fred is good aswell ( Lyon ) but he aint THAT fast. You could put Fred as a FW and then Rooney as a SS.

Get a player with excellent aerial ability, for example tall players like Koller, Zigic, Crouch, or those with a great jump, Hashemian etc.. Drogba and Trezeguet are probably the best with height coupled with a powerful jump and amazing heading.

if you can't take him, well, saviola is great in the game! you'll be surprised!
ronaldo is great, never misses with me
drogba is the right choise for you as he can take care of high balls and ground balls, i guess with rooney he's the man
