I think player control varies between different players.
I do think the throw ins are worse this time because you control the thrower and are forced to wait for the receiver to get in position if you want to throw it in a certain place. This makes it harder to do a quick throw and easier for the cpu to intercept.

Hi everyone,
My friend was in Hong Kong during the summer and he brought back WE8 to the UK for us to play.
The game has been improved in most areas, the play is much smoother, through balls have much more placement that can open up defenses. The free kicks are pretty much the same only abit less power is needed. As for the graphics there is much more detail the lighting affects on hair and kits are very life like, but for the gfxs to look the best the new PS2s with the new matrix2 gfx engine, also 60hz mode. I got the aqua blue ps2 and pout on pro evo 3, the detail it added and the smoother game play was such a bonus.
As for the WE8 faults that im sure you all know, the slow down is a pain in the ass, i find its difficult to score from corners because you either jump to early, or the balls past u before the slow down stops. Also when playing against the computer the intro scene at the start has for example if your Real Madrid, theres 2 Madrid teams in the tunnel, then your team walks out to the pitch alone, and the computer team is already warming up.
The fouls are slightly better for slide tackling, but the same old brushing into a player makers the ref blow for a foul which can have a very stop start game, however you can pick a ref with star ratings for giving out cards and fouls, the lower the ratings the more flowing the game can be.
As for the edit mode, the edit players has abit more detail added but its pretty much the same as pro evo 3, but all the latest addidas boots are a cool feature.
The edit team kits is terrible, theres only 2 proper addidas tops, which makes it hard to edit the likes of Germany, france, Bayern Munchen. For pro evo 3 i have every kit edited, which judging by WE8, pro evo 4 will be much of the same. I'll need to get the Xport and put in the real skins . I'll have to start reading up on that lol.
Besides that i cant wait untill pro evo 4 is out, lets hope the faults get sorted out.

No...not every player wears gloves. And not all the time. It depends on conditions and who...I suppose editable.

I went to gamestars live on saturday and yes most of the teams i played as was updated like real madrid it had owen and woodgate in it, arsenal it had trabelsi in it, Inter Milan it had there new kits and all there new recruits like veron and davids
I guess all of the teams will updated to the 2004/05 season
