I am awaiting the 1.0 Reefur patch, but I just have a simple question which is slightly on this Topic.

Lets say I put the 1.0 on my game once it comes out, would I then be able to put on my own bootpack ?

yes its quite easy but the problem is finding where it is located in the 0_TEXT.AFS file and because the bootpacks for pro evo 4 are different they maybe under different names.

What option file would fit best with this patch? What i mean is, i don't want the kits to be all screwed up, which one would be perfect for reefur's?

Ryder Style

The Star Player
I dont know if you will need an option file for it because I think the database will be fully up to date in the next version. For this version though check through this thread I am sure a few option files were mentioned.

Took me a while but i read through the thread, i figured i'll just wait for 1.0 since this patch pretty much has everything. Hey, one more question, once 1.0 comes out with the fixed/new database, no need to mix it up with sunjun right? I dont' wanna go through the trouble, thanks!

My brother's PS2 has issues playing certain disks too. His is a lot older than mine.

Can you play the original game on both PS2s?

What brand media did you use?

Give Verbatim a try. If that doesn't do it, it's likely a console issue.

The BEST media you can use is ridisk - purple - 4x. The speed is important as the lower the speed the darker the dye will be on the disk meaning your ps2 laser will have to work less, thats fr those with older ps2's and weak lasers. The state of sony's lasers is a fucking JOKE, they are so shit. Sony have packed the ps2 full of shitty parts compared to gamecube and X-Box. ....anyway thats for a different, hope this helps u and all others that need advice about media.!!!!!!

Some PS2s can read DVD-RW and some don't. Mine doesn't.
At least you don't waste a DVD-RW when writing onto it so you can check it and see.

Hi everyone!

I just recieved the game from Play-Asia yesterday (super fast delivery by the way...5 days from Hong Kong to Sweden! Play-Asia is superb!)and started the patching with the reefur patch right away.

I´ve never done this before and I´m not sure that I´ve done it correctly. I have two questions:

1. When I patch the ISO with the "patch-o-matic.ppf", does the program overwrites the original ISO on the harddrive or does it make a patched copy somewhere?

2. If the patch-o-matic.ppf actually overwrites the original ISO, why is the filesize of the patched ISO exactly the same as the orignal ISO? Is that right? I´m afraid that I´ve done some mistake when patching...

Thanks!

1. Yes, the patching technically overwrites the ISO and doesn't create any other ISO.

2. Some patches only change the games "image", it doesn't change the game's database. i.e. Fake kits replaced with real kits.

Some patches changes the game completely by adding addition things that weren't in the game to begin with. Like inserting more teams, more boots, and etc...

Don't worry I think you didn't do anything wrong.
