Completed God Of War 1 earlier. No other word to describe it but epic. The environments and artwork are the best I've ever seen in a game, as are some of the set pieces. Like Spartan Total Warrior the combat does get repetitive and there's way too many constant waves of enemies. The 'puzzles' and general platform elements are good but frustrating (I swear I was ready to kill someone with the rotating spike wall in Hades). The camera makes the whole thing like a blockbuster and adds wow factor but it is also annoying when pairing it with trying to control Kratos.

A game like this actually makes me a bit interested in Greek mythology (accurate depiction or not), and I'll hopefully play the second installment soon. I'll give it a few weeks though as from what I've seen it's very similar.

I never quite understand the hype of God of War. I have played and completed the first God of War but never found it that great. It was a good game that got repetitive and weren't enough boss fights. The story of it was nice but I wasn't too impressed by the enviroments. I will agree with you that the Spike wall in Hades was annoying. I can't remember how long it took me to do that, probably like hours (Note that those hours wouldn't be added to the overall gameplay time as I would keep turning the PS2 off after a couple of walls). Jumping on the wall was one of the first things I thought of but I kept dying (presumebly hitting the spikes) so I thought I was doing it wrong.

If I was to give this game a rating I would probably give it a 7/10. Overall it was a fun game but as I said I didn't find the enviroments that good, combat too repetitive (Lot of the time I was just smashing buttons), shit load of needless enemies. You take about 5 minutes to kill a bunch of badass enemies only more to just keep spawning. It would probably piss off a lot of people.

to start off, i spent a fiver on the xbox game fahrenheit, man how did i miss this back then, its class.
as for 360 games currently i am on assassins creed. i started it ages ago but traded it before completion. now i gave it another chance and got hooked.
i also spend a bit of time on rainbow six. i finished no.1 when it came out and now am playing it again to get the story fresh before starting no.2.
i made the mistake of wasting money on alone in the dark recently too.

Top Spin 3. Best tennis game I've played by a mile. The controls are a bit fiddly at times, but they help you gain more control during points. The rallies are a lot more realistic than the diving-fest of Virtua Tennis 3 and the courts look lovely. I'm glad there's finally an extensive career mode where you don't get thrown into the action against the big names straight away.

There are little annoyances, such as pathetic use of crowd noises and sadly no inclusion of Wimbledon/Ivanovic/Djokovic. These are minor though, overall the game's a belter.

Maybe I should give it another go. It was taking me a while to get into it, so went back to the Virtua Tennis 3, which has the advantage of being able to pick up and play the game with ease. I was getting frustrated with the slow pace of TS3, but maybe I was being too impatient.

Guitar Hero: Aerosmith demo  It's good, there's 5 songs to play, not a real fan of Aerosmith but I like it.. Is Rock Band similar to what you do on Guitar Hero?

Because I will either get Rock Band or the new Guitar Hero whenever that's out..

Played some NBA Street Homecourt earlier. Can't really get into it like the previous versions. It's not bad by any means, but it isn't addictive and I haven't grasped the controls yet. The career mode (forgotten the actual title) doesn't appeal to me much either. Soundtrack is pretty great though, especially Herbie Hancock for the gamebreakers.

I'll probably play some Vol. 2 or 3 in a couple of weeks and remember why I like the games so much.

Just defeated the 6th colossi on Shadow of the Colossus. Movement controls combined with the camera annoy me a lot, but overall it's been a completely new gaming experience and a very good one at that.

I really like the music score too.

That game is epic.

There is a part that almost had me in tears. As you said the music is vital in that game.

It's a masterpiece.

I've been playing the Pure demo, it's pretty fun to play and will probably end up getting it.

I've also been playing Tiger Woods 09, trying to finish off the GamerNet achievements. And, my newest addition Wii Fit. ;)
