it will be way better thas pes6 on the 360. it was there first go at next gen and also looked pretty rushed it still had more animations and stuff like that just missed the edit mode out. with ps3 been out as well they arnt gonna make a crap game for next gen this time becuase most people noe have a next gen console if anything it will be capeer on ps2

I'm expecting the overall presentation to be upgraded completely, to give a sense of 'moving on' towards next-gen capabilities. Improved graphics, seen more in replays and the faces in edit mode than during gameplay. Same amount of teams, same game types, and mainly the same gameplay but with a few new animations and tricks.

Overall an improvement, but not to a major scale and nothing to shout about. FIFA once again margainly catches up.

I'll be buying it for sure, there's nothing better about PES than playing against mates online and rubbing it in whenever you rape them with a 360-spin on the ball. Even if there was no ML, no League, no Cup, no Edit, as long as the gameplay is much better I'd probably buy it, for the simple fact I know I'll be playing it all year round against friends online.

As for expectations, I'm expecting it to be good, far better than the dire PES6 attempt for the 360. However I can't see many new stadiums being added, since they haven't even mentioned it yet.

The only thing that made the 360 one poor was not the gameplay because that was as good as ever, it was the content in the game.

How can you make a new game and take parts of the game out and not even replace them with anything else.

The next game though will be brilliant, they've brought back edit mode with face mapping, so people on live expect to see my ass on broad shoulders, replay save and theyve made the master league more of a story mode with player interviews and stuff, all that with the same old gameplay will make it amazing.

it all depends on whether the ps3 camera comes out around the time pro evo comes out because on Rainbow six there is the option of face mapping on the game but thers no webcam to take your picture with.

Well what I'm worried about is, throughout the PS2 series each year the gameplay engine pretty much stayed the same. I have a feeling they might/most probably, will use PES6 on 360, as their basis and try and develope it.

PES6 360 was extremely poor, I hope they started from scratch again, but I have to say all the screenshots look virtually the same crap, thats why I fear its going to be rubbish again.

I hate it when people blame PES6 360's poor reception on there being no edit mode. Yes that was a bit crap, but the main thing that makes it rubbish is the game play.

Lets not forget, Pro Evo made itself on having amazing gameplay, it was still class when the teams and players had fake names.

I would take the fake names back anyday, to have the great gameplay that PES was originally based uppon.

We'll need to see it in motion before we can make opinions on the gameplay!!!

I personally think it'll be the best PES to date!

I'm expecting a considerable improvement but that shouldn't be too hard seeing as I have been playing the current one on the 360. When I first bought it I was disappointed with Konami's dire attempt at a Next Gen game but I've grown to like the 360 version and obviously Pro Evo 7 is set to be an improvement for sure due to the time they have had.

I've been playing without the aid of edited strips both on the 360 and at my mates on his PS3 so I have gotten use to that but I would love to be able to go back and have all the strips again.

I'll be happy if there are a lot more licensed teams, editing is easy, game play is smoother and there are more options than this years.

I'll be buying it for sure as I love playing a multi player game with friends.

yeah 360 wasnt bad, wasnt what we expected thats all just a few poor choices like no edit and that dam toe pop straight to the keeper with no power when under pressure but thats on ps2 too. i cant believe with all the news weve been hearing about the new installment youv started this thread by saying your not expecting much when its sounds like theres a hell of alot added :/

look at what ea did with fifa on there first attempt at next gen, road to world cup, that was shocking, pes6 on the 360 was konamis first attempt, although there was many failures on pes6, it is still a good game which i do really enjoy playing, sometimes you have to accept nothing in this world is going to be perfect, but we cant really say anything untill we get the demos to play or wait till the real game is released!, im still being as optimistic as possible i think its the only way forward, there is no point in being negative after only seeing a couple of pic and a few videos. i really hope konami deliver! and spurs are liscenced WOO HOO!!

Same here bro:)

Most of the time, when the new PES comes out, it is better than the last one, but in my opinion, pes 4 and 6 actually went backwards. I still play PES2 sometimes.

The cut back goal has become more and more a focal point of each game and i really wish they had relised it earlier and done something about it. I have a method when playing human vs human - If someone tries, (EVEN tries) a cutback or 'dirt' goal then i throw the pad across the room and into the bin and walk off in disgust, unfortuneatly, this does not work when playing on the network, as opponents cannot see the clear disgust.

If i could ask for just two improvements - it would be 1) the gameplay speed control that was on the very early pes games. You had a choice of 6 speeds - bars 1-6. That was quality, always used to play it at about 2 or 3 speed, everyone was happy. and 2) get rid of the damn cutback, full backs should track the winger and the centre backs should cover the pass and try and intercept it, how many goals in the premiership are scored by a winger running to the by line, walking slowly up to the keeper then passing it back to an unmarked attacker! not many! - the move would end at - by line - because the defender would hack it out.

well looking at all of the gaming sites who got there hands on play test this week, seem to say that it is a step up and a proper next gen game. and i am expecting it to be a great football game as of normal for pro evo.

Talking about pro evo 6 for the 360 yea we were missing the edit mode but still it was a good game not as good as the ps2 verison due to the control bein abit funny on the 360 and players being a lil to slow wiv reactions and turnins as ur goin down the wing and wantin to stop and turn, it was very slow reaction, not very realistic wiv turnin

The shooting was poor and very hit and miss alot of the time, which i never understand the power gange cos sometimes u tap the button and it still hits it hard but then others it be a pass back to the keeper or u hold it a lil longer get it half way and it just seemed like u just hit a shot full power into row z, just seemed like i was gettin to the box each time and where ever i wanted to shot i hit the button and it was luck if it was a good shot or not.

same with the defense aswell wiv headers sometimes i be tapping the button for a head and they wudnt even jump up but then other they wud fight for it and alot of the goals they conceded against me on tht game is due to that,

im hoping in this verison they'll put more in for closer control and alot more ways to hassal players for the ball in the air except from standin next to them and hopin u get it. and sort out the shooting for once so the actual power garge is used and isnt just they lookin pretty and useless.
