i said cover wingers- it doesn't mean they are actually wingers

It's possible, but it shouldn't be true - a sweeper is behind the centre backs, not the fullbacks. But it's possible Konami haven't understood that.

I don't think they should have the CWP position at all - it's not used in the modern game.

i know i was just saing whats on my mind.. and the CWP is used in the last minutes when you need a desperate goal, this formation leeds to pressure on the defence. the CWP is supposed to stop fast breaks and is vry important in the "money time".

It basically means sweeper, in Japan abbreviation's and such are completely different to how the English language does it...for instance when abbreviating in Japanese different letters represent other letters (if you can understand that), so yep its just how Japan abbreviate differently to us and haven't adjusted it correctly to our language.

Or it might be "Christ Wore Prada"

I was wondering what CWP stood for as well. So I decided to send a message to Konami's PES 2009 support. Sadly enough, they only offer support for problems with the game's online service. So I'll have to contact the helpdesk, which I will probably be doing tomorrow.

I have to know now.
