I remember buying ISS PRO off my mate when i first got my playstation (one). I've realised i've had every single title since then. I had all the ISS PRO and Evolution Soccers, then got PES 1-5 for the PS2, PES 6 i had for the PSP, PES 2008 for the PS2 and now PES 2009 for the PS3. So about 11 years of Pro Evo! I still have one of the ISS Pro Evolutions for the PSOne, PES 5 for PS2 and PES 6 for the PSP... just wish i still had ISS Pro.... you could do a through-ball on the edge of the area and it would almost always result in a goal!
Anyone else still got the old games?
Personal favourites over the series are PES 5 (the first and only Pro Evo can't pick fault with really).... but PES 2009 is a close second.

My earliest memory is Ronarrid (Ronaldo) tearing through the centre with his blue boots, Think is wat ISS on the PSOne, The guy was unstoppable in those days, loved this game at the time, Nice thread for nostalgia's sake.

i played one of the old psone versions recently and couldn't believe how dated it looked! i remember playing Sensible Soccer on the Amiga for about 7 years and then getting a psone. ISS graphics looked amazing in comparison.... but my first foty game on the psone was Adidas Power Soccer (came with the console). You could take a power shot and the goalkeeper would go flying into the net with the ball.

First bought the original International Superstar Soccer on the SNES. First game where players looked like real life, Baggio with a ponytail, Valderama with his big hair.... Great game

International Superstar Soccer on SNES

The memorable stars of the game were:

#4 Redonda Argentina (Maradona)
#2 Galfano Italy (Baggio)
#3 Jergen Holland (Fuck knows)
#4 De Veer Holland (Guillit)

To name but a few.

No arguments about lame goals cos all the goals were lame. Great game for its time though.

I started with ISS pro evolution 2 on Ps1. I like it. For a ps1 it was really good.
My favourite is pes 2009 though and pes 5 a close second.

ISS Pro '98 on PS1

The cover had Ince & Ravanelli squaring up to each other, I think?

Just thought, I have a 10 year pedigree!

Ahhh, Sensi. those were the days. Still had Swos & my Amiga 1200 (with 2 external drives so I could use it without changing disc's!) up until a couple of years ago.

ISS Pro '98 on PS1

Same here. never owned a Megadrive so PS1 was my first experience.

hahaha, I remember! My first Pro Evo was Iss Pro Evolution Soccer 2 on ps one. When you played ML, you simply saved until you can buy Ronaldo and you were on your way. He was simply bigger, faster and better than anyone else in that game.

Always been a fan of Master League since it started on ISS Pro Evolution. I found a gem in a tall Iranian Striker with a big moustache called Dahri (I think) scored so many goals from crosses and corners pumped into the box. what a guy.
Yeah, Ronaldo was great too.... and on SWOS (Sensible World of Soccer) on the Amiga.... bought him for Carlisle United and he scored 140 goals in one season. I think i won every trophy i could win 5 seasons in a row with Carlisle.... happy memories.
Would be great if PES could have all the teams SWOS had....although it would tale about half an hour for SWOS to process all the results at the end of the season!

First ISS I had was on the SNES circa 1995 but being an old cunt the first footie title I had was matchday on the spectrum 48K and I won't say how long ago that was!
