Lol Barca a team with Morals dont make me laugh they are just as bad as Real if not worse. The amount of play acting/Diving/dirty play is probably worse than real but because they are seen as not buying success they are forgiven.

They get the own players to speak up about other players that should be joining them just so they can get them on the cheap.

.....Annnnnyway, back on topic. I find that you don't have to pick the best teams if your opponent picks Madrid. Just pick a team with a decent quick defence, and strong forwards. I've found Juve to be very useful, as well as Marseilles, Arsenal. I almost beat them with Bolton in my very first game, but poor finishing let me down.

I reckon, if Ronaldo were to sign for West Brom, they would be the team everyone would go, simply because he's there. He's a great player dont get me wrong, but I dont know where they get his attributes from, his heading ability is better than players that play CB!! Ibrahimovic is another player that everyone uses, and I dont seem to see where Konami get his attributes from either. Every game I've ever watched, Zlatan has been useless. He was good in his younger days, very over-rated in PES, just because he can do a bit of trickery. :erm:

I was being sarcastic about the DMF thing, but the fact remains, that fast players such as CR7 or Kun Aguero are unrealistically good at running all over the pitch and winning balls by using their speed and basically running you over.

The problem goes a lot more deeper than teamwork stats, the problem is a byproduct of how the left analogue stick functions: the sprint button does not serves its purpose without the assistance of the left analogue stick button.

This affects all the areas of the game: passing, dribbling, shooting, feinting, tackling, movement without the ball, etc.

This means that you cannot affect the direction in which you move INSIDE one space; you can only affect the direction in which you move from one space into another space.

Thus, fast players who can move faster from one space into another space, will be unrealistically good, giving the impression of omnipresence.

And players whom are very good at shielding the ball without running, or in other words, players whom are good at shielding the ball by moving INSIDE one space: are not as good as they should be, because it is impossible to affect the direction in which you move inside one space.

I think that a lot of tweaking with the stamina gauge could improve matters in this respect, because it could control or prevent the over usage of certain players; but at the same time, making the game more realistic in this respect will not make the game that much better.

I think that what really needs to be done, is to start making fundamental changes, instead of tweaking the same old game; otherwise, we will see more of the same flaws for years to come.

Unfortunately I only did it with Inter Milan. With teams like Barca, Real, AC Milan, Chelsea, I just picked the same team and hovered over the same kit they chose.. same effect... pissing off noobs.

Most ppl in PES prefer teams with a great dribbler. You can rarely find ppl who play expert football instead of only using SMF or WF to break through defences. Among all are Messi and Ronaldo, no doubt. Konami made them even imba, no doubt.

Messi and Ronaldo are the only two unique players in PES. They have a different dribbling motion and touches. Villa, Higuian, Torres, Rooney, Nani, Quaresma all have the same motion. Or even you create a player with 99 max on all stats. They're still far from those two.

I just can't understand why people outside Madrid (and even Spain) claim to be Madrid fans. Apart from the obvious fact that they're glory hunting arseholes. Madrid are just a team intent on buying success. I used to actually like Madrid back in the days of Raul and Hierro, but now I hate them with a passion. It doesn't help that they have Mourinho and Ronaldo (seriously... why do people like that arrogant c*nt?). I gave a reason, stating that individually, each player in RMA is strong, leading to strong stats, when in reality the teamwork between the players aren't very good (individually, each player in RMA in PES 2011 had good teamwork stats, which is why it isn't showing). That, is WHY.

In fact, I also suggested a remedy, like introducing an "overall teamwork value" or "team chemistry value", which could balance out RMA (obviously they will have a low team chemistry value).

What you are saying, however, can be applied to any team in the game (because you are talking about player controls, not an individual team), just that it'll work best with teams like Real Madrid or Barcelona because they are the teams with the best stats. That is not WHY. What you are saying, is why ALL teams play so unrealistically/overpowered because of the left stick, and does not answer the question, specifically, of why RMA is overpowered.

I was hoping to let this all die, but obviously you won't let it.

I AM able to beat Madrid, more often than not. But it still doesn't change the fact that I hate having to play them all the time. Like I've said, on most occasions I'm able to expose the gamers weakness, but on others I can't because I get so frustrated by the player. People who pick the best teams all the time are practically admitting that they're not good enough to win with the smaller teams. Do you generally believe these people could win with the likes of Bolton? Well I can.
Another thing is... I bought the game, so I should be allowed to play it how I want, ie not playing these people. The big team abusers can play the way they want, but they should have to play against similar minded players all of the time. I would much prefer it if I came up against others like me... even if I lost.

I know it's not "real" skill to play a game well, but it is some sort of skill.

I'll use another example to help describe a noob to you. In CoD, you may have heard of this thing called the "noon tube". Basically they use some perks to make the grenade launcher ultra powerfuul or something, so they just have to aim vaguely near their target. This requires no skill, yet you often find these players at the top of the leaderboards. Thing is, you know these players would be shit if they played using normal guns, just like you know Madrid (etc) users would be shit if they picked lower teams.

I have combined the two posts by you into one thread to make it simple. Is it because I'm so grown up, or so pretentious... I dunno. Yes, I am so pretentious, I AM better than anyone else who plays this game. I AM better than everyone on this forum, everyone on every forum, every country, every continent, the whole word, the universe and every parallel universe.

I've been playing PES and ISS for about 10 years. It's not pretentious to think that I've gotten pretty good at it over that time.

I think, that if I played that person with an even team (I picked Valencia), I would have beaten him. I could have beaten him in that game, but was having an off game.

The stereotype of you overusing your opinion that Real Madrid users are noobs and Atletico users are proper players is not cool. Seriously... did you just copy and paste that whole paragraph? :laugh:

Of course they are under the delusion that it requires real skills. They think that being at the top of the leaderboards makes you awesome. Most of the people near the top pick the big teams.

I KNOW it's a forum, I DON'T expect everyone to agree with me. But the simple fact is most people on here hate the Real Madrid abusers of the game, hate the cheap tactics and exploits. It's hard not to take it personal when you call me a "waster of virtual space" and "pretentious"... when anyone that knows me would say I'm as far from being pretentious as someone could get.
