I am not a FIFA fan but I have to admit that there's one thing that I'm really jealous about FIFA (not the pretty graphics and sounds and all that), which is actually in the gameplay. I really like that you can make nice give and go combinations in a flexible way in fifa 06 this year, and i haven't been able to do that in PES. if i am missing something, help me and make PES even better for me. but i really like that you can pass the ball in fifa06 and when you receive the ball with the next guy, you were able to make the guy who passed run to a nice lane to receive a pass again, and it's up to you to give it back to him or not. in PES, when i pass the ball, most times the guy who passed just stands there like an idiot even though he's got an open lane in front of him. i gotta give credit to fifa06 for a better gameflow this year than last year.

PES is way above any other football game. It's in its own league. You can only compare PES5 with previous PESes.

I rather throw-up than play FIFA 06 or any FIFA series. This is the worst footy game ever. I only played 3 or 4 matches on the demo and hit the uninstall button. IT'S AN AWEFUL GAME.

FIFA is an arcade footy game than a simulation game. And I personally will stick with Konami and the PES series.

unfortunately i don't have the manual yet. i'm in US, hopefully the psp version will have the explanation too, i should be receiving that next week. i was never able to make it work on last year, where i'm not sure if i was failing to execute it right or my version didn't have it or something. and i am not talking about an automatic give and go where your player automatically receives back the ball after he passes. it's a nice feature to be able to continue with the give and go depending on what the opposing defender is doing, as in trying to block the running man or pressuring the receiver and all that. and don't get me wrong people, pes is way better than fifa but hey, i like online play and in the US, i'm stuck with fifa till this thing comes out as winning eleven in march 06. hopefully the psp version might end that.

it is also sad that some people think that pes sucks just because they can't pick it up and easily figure out the only 3 ways to score in the game and repeat the same thing over and over. pes is a nice challenge when you first pick it up.

If you hold L1 when you make a normal pass, the player who makes the pass will run up ahead. Whether you pass back to him or not is up to you.

You can also press R2 to make the passer sprint forward after making a pass. Similarly, it's up to you whether you want to pass the ball back to him.
