I just want to be able to really develop a team in Master League Online to be honest, because it'd be such an amazing experience to be able to see youngster progress and their stats develop over time. Because right now, the vast majority just play MLO with the very best players such as Messi, Ronaldo, Rooney etc, whereas if player growth was included then I think we'd see more people trying their hand at building a good but not great (yet) team in the hope of providing a hugely rewarding and satisfying challenge. They really missed a trick by excluding player growth and development for MLO, as well as custom stadiums for your own team. I've created a stadium called Le Berg but not being able to use it for my custom team in MLO while playing at home is really annoying, it takes away that sense of 'my team' vs. 'your team' when you're forced to play at somewhere like the Nou Camp or wherever.

I go as far as to say that the young players should have the potential to surpass the "star" players(not all of them of course! just a few chosen ones. that would make the scouting and transfer process much more exciting).

Well in PES 2011 I have played over 1,700 games online so.....

I would also class it as the best football game ive played and if 2012 is even just 2% better then of course!!!!!

I will if I like the demo.
I never download the demo for this game and always bought it, but now I'm going to check it first.

Of course I will. I hope they fix the long shots and turning, off the ball seems great in the latest reviews. So looks like all is going well, time will tell though.

PES 6 was the first current gen game. It was available on the 360. It was great, but lacked content. To be honest, I only realised issues in PES after I moved to the PS3 (from PES 2009 onwards). It could just be coincidence, but I remember 360 gamers liking PES 2008, but not PS3 owners.

At the time I had both the ps2 version and the ps3 version of pes 6 and needless to say the ps2 version beat the ps3 version hands down...

I'm quite happy with pes 2011, my only gripe being the lag online (why oh why can't konami get it right after years and years) and the shocking cheating in MLO. gameplay wise it pretty much rocked - didn't like speed merchant, but otherwise I loved the emphasis on a passing game and scoring scorchers with forlan and ibra was a true pleasure...

This time I don't think so. I've always played PES but PES 2011 really irritated me.
I do play it from time to time when I'm really bored but that's about it.

Doesn't take long before I find it frustrating again and have to put it away for a few months.

Pes is the ONLY football game worthy of the name "football"

Last year I got fifa 11 to see what all the fus was about and was massively disappointed ;uninstalled it after about a week

PEs has it's real annoying aspets such as programmers continously not allowing you to take over AI opponents in season leage mode luckily peeps edit this with "disable controller check patch" and lack of licences and so forth

But the competition are all at non-leage level

That's what bother me the most. The AI is utterly incapable of dribbling against itself, and that alone removes the point of BAL. It can dribble fine against human players, because it just use a script to magically teleport through your defender, or take advantage of a conveniently unresponsive human defender from time to time.

But in AI vs AI matches, or BAL, the attacker seems utterly unaware of the defenders and just walk into the defender until they bash heads, and 95% of the time the defender walks out of it with the ball while the attacker takes a dirtnap.

That's the problem - pes's animations are crap and they move robotically and walk in to players. fifa has a collision engine so it's no problem even though there animations are hundreds times better in pes
