Hi!

So, overall, do you guys feel that WE8LE is a step forward from PES4 or is it just a minor upgrade? Is it worth chipping the PS2 and importing the game for?

two questions:

1. have they increased the height of the flick? in pes4 it was very low
2. shot feints. are the more realistic and do players take more time to them? in pes4 it takes only a millisecond

Just got the game and have to say it is fantastic, waaay better than pes4. I am just waiting for the reefur 1.0 patch before I patch it. From what I have played of the game it is a much better pace, not 100mph all the time like pes4 is. The shooting is great because now you can actually hit the ball really hard and it flies!

I agree with you on this. It is much better than PES4. I used to finish pretty well up the Div1 League but now it is really tough to win a game.
In PES4 when you attacked through the flanks merely by pressing the circle button 3 times, your striker will quite often be able to intercept and produce result with it. But now, it is much tougher. It is even difficult to get your players to head the ball. Besides ,player control of the ball is mch more realistic now. Well I am eagerly awaiting for WE9.
This game seems to be improving by the year and I am sure more good things will be in store. How I wish there are more violent tackles and player get all bloodied up especially when taking high risk diving header and got kick on the head instead. Just speaking through experience.

Since this will pretty much be the same as PES5 (hopefully) I've got a few Q's!

1- Is it slightly easier to score a header than it was in PES4
2- Any sign of Shirts not tucked in in the editing mode
3- How are the boots looking?

You get used to the speed - it seems more realistic.
But don't keep jumping between this game and PES4 or you'll have trouble adjusting to both.

GODDAMNIT, SOMEBODY ANSWER THIS MANS QUESTION!!
This really is the be all and end all of PES5 as far as I am concerned. Me and my mates used to hold monthly Champions League style tournaments for cash, but this 'wriggly worm' flaw in the game has put paid to them as far as PES4 is concerned.
