If you try to chip it yourself, chances are you will mess it up. Get a professional to do it.
Mine has been chipped for 2 years and works great. But I take care of my stuff so it's down to how people do things.

Is it illegal to have your console chipped?? I used to think it was, but then the place where I got both my PS2 and XBOX chipped from is an actual shop...so I thought if it was illegal the police would have done soemthing about the shop by now.?

in we 8 le what sound does it make when u hit the post? same as we8? or the awesome cracking sound from previous versions, i know its silly but i loved it when u hit the post and it went crrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrack!

Hey I got this game from a friend and when I load it up with swap magic and my fliptop it just gets a black screen and the game never comes on :S

just got this game.. my first match was Milan(me) vs Inter(cpu) on 5* red arrow for both teams.. the match ended with 2-2 draw :( I just hate the fact that this game has slowdowns!!!11! the CPU is better than in PES4

guys

i have bought my copy from play asia, have made another copy with patch, have tried it on my friends ps2 and works fine, on mine it doesnt, have tried my patched copy of pes4 which works fine on my ps2, im thinking its the dvd, would i be correct in saying this? any suggestions? btw it comes up with message "disk error"

All I can suggest mate is burn at the slowest speed and use good dvd media. Verbatim are very good, I've nevr had any problemo's with them ;)

we have tried burning slow, i am using TDK which i have never had a problem with before, the funny thing is all my other pes patched games work fine, its so frustrating because i really want to play the patched game, i might verbatim a try, it has to be the disk, i really cant think what else it would be, ill keep trying

There are some suggestions for improving burning in the patching guide thread.
Try to shut all other programs before burning. Don't do anything while it is burning. A defragmentation may also help before burning.
Alternatively you could try burning with another program such as Alcohol120%.

Indeed it is for ps2.
You can play online but you need a Japanese ps2 thats not been modified and the original game...

ok i thought it was for xbox also, and u have to have a japanese console to play online? if so i think ill be waiting for pes 5, though this game seems to be better than pes 4
