The game doesn't qualify as 'amazing' in terms of the jump from the previous version, but it's different and good enough not to play them anymore.
Dribbling is far, far harder, defending against it is much easier. Press x3 for Ronaldinho's 'Flip-Flap', did it to see if it worked and it looks cool, but I'm not so sure how effective it will be in practice. Seems other players can do it too, but judging by the fact the only one we've found is Zlatan it must be a move reserved for highly-techincal players.
There is a 'first-touch' system now, where as the ball is approaching you if you hold in a direction his first-touch will set you up nicely to run/face that way, rather than the current method of taking the ball, and doing a wee pffty 'heel turn' to rotate your guy 180 degrees. It's brilliant for passes down the wing as instead of waiting on a high ball, having it bobble about a bit and then be closed down as it's taken so long to get under control, you instantly knock it out in front of you and run onto it in one sweeping movement. I've already made room for crosses and shots purely by using this first-touch move, so it's a very good addition.
1 on 1 shooting is finally back to a good level, you can score 'normal' goals again! The R1 chip has been butchered to a point where you cannot use it unless you're faking the keeper (this is where you pretend to shoot normally, and the keeper dives and at the last minute you press R1 to cancel your regular shot and lift the ball). Usually all you had to do was press shoot and R1 and it'd give a nice easy chip, this time they are so low down that's impossible. The reason for all this is that the keepers are weaker in these situations, they don't respond quite as razor-sharply as they did before, and I fear there may be some who will give it "he should have got that" all too often.
This game loves to volley! It'll do a volley now when it should, instead of stooping unnaturally low to header it like it currently does. There are going to be some stonking goals scored in this!
Unfortunately it's all in Japanese, I loaded up my option file and it converted a decent amount of names but there's still a shedload not done.
Definitely spotted Lampard's celebration in there too, he wheels away aeroplane-like looking to the side, before kissing the badge.
