Hmm don't you usually see a replay of the foul if a player gets booked ? I was just running down the wing, must've somehow crossed the line, dunno, anyway the ref gave a throw in for the opponent and suddenly I see him showing a yellow card to one of my players, dunno why ?
First I thought the booking was for spitting at someone, but then I noticed that it wasn't Diouf.

There is a new feature where say for example you badly tackle someone but the other team keep possesion the ref will allow play to continue. Then when the ball is out of play he will book the player for the bad challenge. How good is that!

I like the invisible force-field that prevents forwards from closing down the defender from a goal kick.

Getting some slowdown on some stadia and no on others. Now that stadium effects and the crowd are set to off, it seems to be gone - still checking it out.

I like this game more than PES4.

Hadn't noticed that, but I only usually get that problem when I play against other people. But that's a great addition, this game just get's better. PES5 is gonna be so good.

I am going to get the game. But i have a couple more questions to ask.

1. Do i need a NTSC convertable scart cable ?
2. If so, where can i get one from ?
3. Where can i get the actual game from ?
4. Has anyone tried the 'Elastico' on the game yet ?
5. If so, whats it like ?
:D

1. Do i need a NTSC convertable scart cable ? My current ps2 scart works fine. If your's doesn't you'll need a RGB scart cable.
2. If so, where can i get one from ? If you do need one you can get it from here:RGB Scart
3. Where can i get the actual game from ? You have to have it imported from somewhere like here:Play Asia Or you can check on ebay for it.
4. Has anyone tried the 'Elastico' on the game yet ? Yes it is definetly!
5. If so, whats it like ? Here it is along with some other vid's from the game:WE8LE Vid's (including elastico)

Hope this help's mate

This addition will certainly make the game even better.

Having had the game for a couple of day's now I just want to highlight the difficulty of this new version. In past version's I still found it easy on 6*'s and I thought the CPU AI as still pretty dumb. But having played the game on 6*'s for the first time last nite I was very impressed. The AI seem's alot smarter, and although I didn't get thrashed I hardly got a kick off the ball. They don't make hardly any mistakes and the cpu was very clinical in it's finishing. It may have been just because I'm not the greateset player but I'm just comparing it to previous version's. It was actually better than any real person I had played for keeping the ball. Also the keeper's are alot better now, I've seen them make some brilliant one handed saves that Peter Schmeichel would have been proud of! More than likely there will be a certain way of playing to beat it once I get used to it like other version's. But what really would be good, is an AI that remembered if you played a certain way all the time, and could learn from it to stop you. Maybe in PES10 lol.

Good to hear keepers are improved, they often look look like clowns in PES4. Although that seems to fit some keepers :)

OK, I just got my copy of the game this morning and I spent almost 3 hours playing it. Heres a review I came up after 3 hours of playing.
*********************************************
To start off, the gameplay is quite different, especially the speed and flow. Players are now faster than ever. Whenever you beat a defender, there is no way the defender will catch up to you unless you slow down for him.

The passing is so accurate to the point of unrealism. Your passes are almost accurate as if there were no mistakes possible. Additionally, the passing is extremely fast, much faster than WE8 & PES4. However, despite the crazy speed, long passes are more realistic because of the speed. In WE8/PES4 it would take a little longer to get the ball from one side of the field to the other side. But in WE8LE, your switch from one side to the other is more quicker and more efficient.

The shooting system is almost identical to WE7i in my opinion. Shots are more powerful than in WE8/PES4. Shots are also more accurate. The amount of power in a shot doesn't really matter since they are so damn hard.

Well thats only a short review over gameplay. I will try to explore the editing phase of the game later.
