I like your positive attitude towards PES......but like many others you will soon realize the truth.
MGS5 and PES14 were created on the same engine. MGS5 is on the next gen systems......PES is not!
There is no 2 year work on PES .....nor 1 year ......
PES is just a game on the back burner that they pick up about 6 months before its release.
You should take a look at Fifa on the PS4 and the Xbox One. Not a major improvement......but at least they are trying.
PES is dead!
I played FIFA on Xbox One and my friend has it. Its awful, it's really not as good as the last versions of FIFA. They do 'claim' to have a new engine but its definitely just the old one with new code added in, so technically its new... In my opinion and my friends' the game is a load of crap. Sugarcoat it all you want but the game is poor.
On the other hand I have to say pes is not much better, if not worse. I think PES has huge potential as the engine looks amazing, even on current gen it looks better than FIFA next gen and the animations are great. The PES trademark passing and shooting and random events are still there but the game feels so clunky and slow. I know the players have weight which is good but it feels as though your not in control fully a lot of the time which is a massive disappointment.
The potential with PES is there but will Konami get their finger out and fix the game? Not so sure, but they have to be commended for trying a new approach and it will pay off in buckets if they get it right.
OCKRASS, I really don't know what your on about, FIFA is a rehash of the last 4 games with 'slightly' better graphics. The game lacks soul, in my opinion its the worst of the last 4 years. I would love it if EA built a new engine and really had a good game but its bringing in the money still so why would they?
I like opinions on games and welcome them, but comments like PES is dead is a little premature... Games go through stages and PES is at the beginning of a new life cycle and in my opinion FIFA is coming to the end of its engine cycle (Pretty obvious by the small incremental updates each year). So there are going to be issues, but I think they made the correct decision waiting a year to release on next gen. The new engine is here now spend the year optimising, then come to next gen with a bang.
If next years version is lacking then it will be a disappointment, but its pretty obvious why the one this year is not quite there yet.
