i played a match earlier today round a friends house.

it was my first go on an Xbox, but i did good.

I won 2 - 1, considering it was my first game on it. only game i played aswell.
My mate played before me against this guy and lost 3 - 0.

The guy said i was alot sharper then my mate and he could tell that i played better in the second half coz i got use to the controller, chatting over the headset was brilliant.

i was very impressed with it, I noticed that there were no power bar for shooting but it doesnt matter to much because i think we all know how long to keep hold of the shoot button.

I might be getting my hands on one myself and will be playing some of you possibly ;)

Ok, just played 2 games for the first time on live. As the host, the game is smooth and pretty slick, hardly any lag, however playing as a client, the lag has been quite bad. The guy I played, we tried it both ways and both times, the host plays fine, as client, its bad. We were both in London and he's got a 2mb connection i got 1mb so thats enough, but still. I dont think we can get a league going yet guys until konami gets a patch out. It's not totally unplayable, however the split second timing that you need cant work if there is a lag, every action is crucial, and its just not a level playing field where one can say he's the better player, or played a better game.

Hope this patch comes soon. Overall I am impressed as the game offline is fluid, just need to sort it online.

i suppose if the client lag isn't sorted, you just have to make sure in the league that you play 'home and away', where you host your home games...then atleast it's fair...we'll pretend that the raucous home crowd causes the away team players to be nervous and stutter and jerk about....:)

I agree there man..

Hosting it..its fine..but as a client i have suffered major lag..

Reading the german site of konami it says..for anyone who hasnt seen it..i translate it now

Obviously we already supposed ourselves this problem and will make available a special Update in the next days for the game, connected itself which in with pro evolution Soccer 4 via Xbox live! automatically installs and removed these problems.

We excuse ourselves for the partially appearing problems and will refer here immediately on that if the Update is available.

So there ya go..that was posted on the 24th..and no patch yet so i guess it will be coming any time soon i think :confused:

ok...we'll just take turns hosting though, i suppose that is best...I mean i guess we're gonna get a fair bit of lag at the other end of the host system.

I cant believe how many posts they went there just chatting away, and one of them has over 1000 posts, i thought he would know better.

Lets get back to the subject now.

When i played on live i noticed there was no power bar, is this for everyone? and is it just for when your online or does it happen when your playing against the comp aswell?

Good game t1000v2.0. Just in case you weren't sure, I kicked the ball off on purpose.

Can people stop sending me invites whilst I am playing? I sit there between matches and everyone else is playing..... then whilst I'm playing I get more invites. :|


And yes I do see a power bar. Don't know WTF is going on with free kicks though. They all go blazing over when they should be going at least near the target. Different power settings for xbox? Or just getting used to different form arrows for every match......

I'm a culprit for inviting you mate, too lazy to sit and wait :(

The free kicks are weird, you touch the button like you would a normal free kick and it seems to take up the whole bar, that's my theory anyway.

I've only ever lost one when I host a game in 18, and I think I've won 14 games out of them all together. My best goals have came in games I've joined, which is weird...

Had 2 good games against hitmanuk2k. First one he hosted, club teams. It was lagging like hell. I was 3-2 up in the 89th minute. Then I gave away a stupid penalty, even though i pressed the button about 20 minutes before :p 3-3 the end result.

Then I hosted with internationals, Brazil (me) vs France (hitman). I ended up winning 9-1! Sorry had to mention it mate lol I'm sure it was lagging for you too though, plus everything went right for me lol Good games mate, got you back for thrashing me yesterday :p
