Nope. It was Fifa 99. Fifa 98 was Tubthumping by Chumbawumba. Which was the PES that had Klaxons and Courteeners? Was that 2011 or 2010?

It'll most likely be the patch before the DP's, and not the DP's themselves which will have effected the heading.

Swearing is not allowed in thread titles (you didn't actually use the word, but it was implied) so I've edited it. On the subject, I found heading in the demo to be very poor. Always weak glancing headers that went over the bar. Was never able to do a good ol' bullet header into the top corner.

People seem to say this after data packs are released, I can't see how there can be gameplay changes, since the data pack is just DLC. Gameplay changes can only usually be made in patches.

I think the point that they're making is that there are no game engine tweaks at all. It's the same game in a new skin.
