@Amateur. Although you are not wrong I cannot say I agree. Let me explain. Everything manual including player movements would lose individuality so the fun in the transfers would be gone. Although we should have a more manual movement, we still shouldn't decide how the player moves exactly...

I cannot see the automatic part in that statement. I mean the AI has to move by itself in order for you to pass to them. I mean players moving into open spaces. I think that's what they meant.

Well in my opinion, the king is back part was not a lie because it was better than fifa 11 for all it's flaws. @SDP. I also don't trust previewers because they tend to exaggerate the positives.

Seems positive, but then again I won't trust previewers. However there seems to be something this year because apparently a lot of annoyances have been fixed. Even the shot feint and defenders catching up. If so, I would be REALLY HAPPY.

Be sure to post your impressions. :) And please try to look for things that were annoying in pes 11 to see if they were fixed ;) Anyway it's impossible for me to go because well, I am not from the UK.

The tackles do look great but in all honesty. ARE THEY NEEDED WHEN THE GAME IS FUNDAMENTALLY UNBALANCED? Fifa won't admit this, so they keep blinding fans with realistic animations and leave the core (which is the thing that really needs fixing) untouched. I have to admit though, realistic...

And me because for all the flaws I listed, pes 11 is still a very good game, it was just poorly executed and didn't feel 100% finished. However, it's much deeper than any pes even if it has more frustrating things. :)

I only heard many positive reviews before pes 11. Right before pes 10 and 09, the previews were mixed rather than 100% positive like they are this year SO FAR. But yeah, it's better if we wait and see because I DO NOT TRUST PREVIEWS AND REVIEWS. :)

^I agree, (however messi wasn't caught up, they closed his space, well they tried to at least :) ) but pes 11 sort of over did it because even if you use the knock the ball further technique, the defenders will still outrun you. That's truly unrealistic. And pes of the old had other things...

But still I do think that more user input combined with the player individuality (more like semi assisted) shooting would be much better because at least it would take more skill to place the ball where you want, but at the same time, the player's stats come into play and the ball will go closer...

Pes 5 hid the AI cheating the best, that's why it's up there with the best pes' ever made. However the AI cheating was still there. But still AT LEAST, THE AI WAS HARD TO BEAT and not only by cheating, but by trying to outsmart you unlike from pes 6 onwards.

I agree overall, the AI is just not good enough in pes 11. It cheats as hell because it can't beat you. It frustrates me to see it happening. BUT it has been in evey pes game. I remeber me playing pes 6 and the AI would do some awesome things with bad players too so it has always been in pes...

@SDP: Exactly my thought however I would add pes 6 and pes 3 on the same level. :) Pes 11 and pes 5 are close. Very close. Pes 11 plays more like football overall but has stupid flaws that sometimes ruin it and pes 5 is seamless and plays very good but lack the tactical stuff that make pes 11...

SDP. The thing about the shooting is that it's way too automatic and I really mean too much assistance. But another problem is that the assistance is not good enough as many shots that you try (placed shots especially) go in the middle most of the time even though you pressed the right buttons...

Huge yes to more user input. Pes is just still too automatic. I want much more freedom especially in the shooting and the direction of the shot. Then it would depend on the payer to place it better, shoot it harder and stuff like that. It can be a more of a semi assited like the passing in pes...
