Is the formation editing as detailed as PES? I'm especially interested in the ability to move players, rather than having to settle with fixed positions.
I think Konami are making an effort, but are concentrating on the wrong things. They have improved the graphics and player likeness to make it the best they've ever produced, but it looks like they've not focused on building on the gameplay too much. The changes (for the better) in each game...
I've tried all that (arrows going back), but they still go forwards more than I desire. I even changed team tactics to C, so the defence stay deep, but nothing. It's not too much of a problem, but I would prefer to have more control.
The full backs are uncontrollable. They attack much more than I wish and the wingers are more defensive minded. There have many occasions in each game where the full-back has been ahead of the winger when in possession. Even changing the wingers' roles from side midfielder to attacking...
There has been a lot praise for the game, but I think most of the people who have been impressed by it have the PS3 version. Am I right? Does anyone have the Xbox360 version and is it as good?
I agree, although I did win my first match, followed by three defeats
It usually take me between two and three weeks to master my system of playing. But, once you get into the swing of things, you can be creative as you wish.
The video with the demo seems to imply that you have 4 legends on the same team, which may mean that you can have two teams with 4 legends in each. I'm not sure though.
The problem I have with the manual passes is that it only gives you (I assume) 8 directions, however I have only experienced 4 so far - up & down, left & right.
I don't usually like games that are mainly based in the dark (videos seem to indicate this). If I do play them, I usually increase the brightness and contrast. These kind of games can get me shitting sweetcorn.
I'm going to head into the high street after work to get some DVDs, but if I can find a good price on Bio Shock, I'll get it. It looks like a wonderful game, but I usually wait for prices of non-PES games to go down before purchasing them.
That reminds me, the new songs are pretty good. They even play the old cheesy PES2008 music over the tannoys at the beginning of a match. Also, the chants seem to be a lot better, if not too drawn-out. There's generally a better atmosphere in matches.
Personally, it won't be long until I start skipping the intro and getting straight into the games.
It's not like many people still have every copy of PES and ISS ever released. I'll be trading in PES2008 for either PES2009 or another game.
