Its actually quite amazing how AS3 had 360º movement at all. The joypads of the day on PC's didn't have an analogue stick either (pre USB). Although flight sim joysticks were analogue but weren't really suited to sports games. You still would think that as ISS and AS3 had forms of 360º...

I'm not on about how the ball reacts, I'm only on about movement of the player and how AS3 allowed your player from running at a 90º angle, to running a 75º angle when you move the analogue stick towards 75º and not at 45º like 8 way movement would. I'm not saying that AS3 is in any way...

Thats what I thought too but if you play it on a joypad, its proper 360 movement ( maybe 16/32 way movement, it feels 360 ).

The power bar on Match Day II is different to the was PES and FIFA use and wasn't controlled by you. It simply went from power 0,1,2,3,2,1,0,1.... changing every second or so, and if you pressed fire (only 1 button) the pass/shot would be power 2 if the bar was at point 2 in the sequence. It...

Hope it is, the only thing I can see about it is a Wikipedia article on euphoria which states that Konami announced in March that PES2010 was going to use the Euphoria engine. And as we know that's not a reliable source. Sorry for the double post, was meant to be an edit of above.

Sounds like you're right but knowing Konami.... :blush: PES really needs a new game engine and they also need to get out of the "Last Gen" mindset they have where they seem to think consoles still have limited storage space to save data. Hopefully developing the game on the PC will get them...

If I remember correctly PES2008 was released on the 26th October and PES2009 was released on October 17th (UK release dates). Usually find out an exact date around September iirc.

I didn't pre-order it last year, I bought it from a local shop the day before release for £17.00. I've pre-ordered PES2010 for £17.85 (PC version).

I've pre-ordered this time as although PES2009 wasn't amazing, it was an improvement on PES2008. Last year I bought it from a shop which happened to release it a day early. I'm still getting it whatever as its the only decent footy game on the PC, FIFA on the PC is worse than PES2008...

Some journos have had their hands on the latest build and have been playing it for a while. Apparently there is an NDA which is being lifted today.
