PES on PS2 is a much better game than any FIFA version -however- PES on PS2 haves crappy graphics, that's a FACT.. FIFA had better graphics in the PS2.

Anyways, I agree that PES08 haves better graphics than FIFA08 -or- at least better looking players -as- the players on FIFA08 look like zombies. And yet again, FIFA never looks that good during gameplay, all those screenshots are just touched-up (photoshop) pics to lure casual gamers.

Bottom Line?? The graphics are completely irrelevant THIS time around -and- the Gameplay should be decisive.

Amen,

You are right the Animation on FIFA look retarded. Did any of you guy's notice how suddenly they make a 90 degree or 180 degree in FIFA when doing tricks??. i mean that doesn't happen in real life. In fact in real life it happens very often that some one can make a fast 90 degree or 180 degree turn. The tricks on FIFA are ridiculous.

Photoshop, definitly on some pictures. Especially on the pictures where they want to make the players look better than the background. it's just Silly.

the funny part is casual gamers fall for this shit

fifa will be better this year, konami wont release any info cos they done nothing with the 2008 game

Impossible.. very unlikely because Konami cannot afford to do this AGAIN, it's that simple -IF- Konami releases a version of PES08 with updated kits and modes -then- they will loose a good part of their fan base.

PES09 will be decisive for the series.

Something that PES has always done well is the Animations because have you guys notice that when you win a cup in PES the players actually get excited and a lot of celebration is done and the trophy is lifted and you actually feel it as if you were in the match.

On the other hand in fifa when you win a cup the celebration lasts for like 10-30 seconds seriously and it doesn't even feel like you have won anything.

Same thing with goal celebrations and the intro to a match!

In other words Winning eleven( PES ) is still the best soccer game out there!

PES RULEZ!
FIFA...UuuMMm! it's ok !

dude don't get me started :D, but i will add another one to that. When a penalty is given, that's just awesome, the animation... like in real football.

would love to see a option where you as a head of a team have to calm down players otherwise they will get a card, just a thought for pes 2016

I hope.
Also Pes is better in every part of the football game except for the licenses and modes.

Or to some people's eyes, PES was better in most aspects -but- NOW it seems the tides have changed -because- in actuality, PES08 feels and plays like the most arcadish Football game around.

Konami needs to release a New game, a Different game.. a better game. The game we've been expecting since the start of the current generation.

I was just going trough youtube and I came Across this trailer for the xbox 360 for winning eleven or PES and this game looks awesome!

This is what I'm talking about the animations! you can see the crowd with their huge flags and little flags and goal celebrations that it makes you feel as if you were in the game

Something that fifa has never had!

Check it out!

Personally I hope that fifa produce their best game ever this year, and yes even be better than PES, Konami might then pull their finger out and produce something worthy of its fanbase. Obviously this is said not knowing what PES2009 has to offer and from piecing together some of the interviews etc. it should be pretty good.

You know yesterday I slept over at my friends house and we decided to try out fifa 08 for the Ps3....see we put the game in and it was pretty ok but then we got bored of it so we decided to play Winning eleven Pro evolution Soccer 2007 for PS2 and man that game kept us awake for the rest of the night way better than FIFA! NO doubt!

PES RULEZ!

Something else that has always put PES ( Winning Eleven ) is its edit mode!

I really don't care if Konami doesn't get the licenses for the leagues like fifa because with edit mode you can do that and much more!

Who needs licenses when you have edit mode?

WInning Eleven Rulez!

^Yeah Pes is the best. In a football game I'd rather see the animations and gameplay rather than licenses.

^Yeah. Pes's football feeling is still there even in 2008. I wish they work on the game speed though.
