I'm waiting for the day I'll get to see Pele and Maradona in such detail, edited faces, edited physique, and in High Def.

It's a shame Konami does NOT takes the Time to edit Classic players.. Pele, Maradona and Cruyff are HUGE in the world of Football -I- fail to understand How they aren't Fully Edited.

I guess, I'll just have to keep waiting for it, because there's no doubt that sooner or later -we- will get to see the Greatest Players Yet in High Def Graphics with fully edited faces -instead- of the current crappy-random faces.

Great pics by the way, Cristiano Ronaldo looks spot-on, this Ronaldo is probably better than the FIFA one.

Yeah faces have always been better on PES and it continues to be so this year again. But man compare that Ronaldo pic with that of last year...what a difference.

I think (and I'm quite demanding) many people are kind of Underrating the graphics in PES09, most say FIFA is better in Graphics -but- I don't see it.

Just look at the Ronaldo shot, it's spot-on, much better than the one on PES08.. In PES08 he looked plastic-like.. In fact, most players in PES5 (or PES4, PES6) and PES08 looked plastic-like. It seems the Improved lightning has sorted that out.

Fantastic shots, really impressed by them, I thought Ronaldo looked good last year but this time he looks 10x better.

it seems pes and fifa are changing over. pes is making vast improvement in graphics while fifa make vast improvements in gameplay. i hope they dont end up with two similar games cause then what would we debate about.

personally i think it a big year for pes. although pes08 sold more games than fifa08, fifa seems to know where they want to take there game and are heading towards there goals. pro evo 08 didnt fill me with confidence that there making games better every year. so come on pes its time to step up. if this year is like last then pes will have lost a long time fan.

Fifa is not looking better. Graphics and gameplay are both a win for Pes. Look at the videos for Pes09 and compare them to Fifa 09. Which one resembles real football?
I'm not a pes fanboy. I just buy the best football game and almost all the time I end up getting Pes. Pes is surly bettr this year. Last year the gap between them closed down but this year it became bigger again. The body movements in Pes 09 are very good. The defending is back to normal so far too. So I can't seea reason to say Fifa is better.

I always say the only defense fifa has is the licenses. They just hide behind them. If PES had all the licenses then EA's FIFA would not sell anything especially places like Germany and England ( even SPain before when PES had its licenses, FIFA didnt sell for shit )

And something even more unfortunate is that the "randomers"include Pele, Maradona, Cruijff, etc, etc.. I mean, it's not that Important to add the real Names -but- at least Konami should have the Decency of editing the Faces of the Classic Players.

Wouldn't it be coold to see players like Carlos Valderrama and Zinedine Zidane in High Def Graphics?? Not to mention Maradona and Pele.. even if they don't have their real names, they should have spot-on faces.

I can't help but find it diminishing.. the mere fact that Peter Crouch haves a spot-on face -and- The Diego Armando Maradona haves some cheap-looking randon Face. How hard can it be to edit a few faces?
