but don't you think that is the only thing that is good about pes 09, the faces? The body movements, the leg speeds, the animations they look current generation. Why is the ball moving like it's on ice? Why the players move so square? Fifa 09 is looking better than anything pes has created.

Well, that's exactly my point.. you haven't been bothered much by the "Classic Players", most people don't care much about the Classic Players.. Why?? Because they look Cheap, would you use Kaka or Cristiano Ronaldo if they had cheap-looking random Faces??

If Konami edited their faces -or- (as you said) included their faces in the Edit Mode, then more fans would be into using and "unlocking" classic players. It would give a whole new meaning to the "PES Shop".

And again, I find it extremely odd that Not much people are annoyed by that.. a Football Fan that doesn't cares about the likes of Diego Maradona or Pele?? Where else can I get this two playing on the same Team?

I'm just saying that, it would be cool to see the "Classic Players" with fully edited faces and Stats.. it would be cool to have All-Time best XI Teams, and who doesn't haves a favorite player?? I'd much rather have Valderrama or Zidane over Kaka or Cristiano Ronaldo. Oh well, at least there's Juan Roman Riquelme.

After the past world cup you guys have not done shit.....Croatia just became an independent country about 15 yrs ago.....in 1993 then 5 yrs later they are ranked 3rd in the world...and now they are ranked 5th in the world...for a country with only 4.5 million inhabitants I'd say that's pretty good. Name a good team that your country beat at the EURO. Croatia not only beat Germany but they spanked em bad. Were Germany not the finalists? wow

I can see why you would think that.. However, back in PES5, Konami did NOT had the License to have a fully edited Germany side -and- yet, the faces of most of the German players where in the Edit Mode.

So, the German players had random Names, random Faces -but- their Real Faces where in the Edit Mode.

They can name them whatever they want, I couldn't care less.. However, Konami should show some Decency and AT LEAST include their Real Faces in the Edit Mode. I don't know about you, but I would prefer to see Pele and Maradona in High Def Graphics -rather- than Pater Crouch and Dirk Kuyt.

And again, IF they can include a Fully Licensed Argentina side in the game -then- Why can't they add the 1986 Version of Diego Armando Maradona?? Shouldn't the AFA decide that? I don't think Konami needs a Licensing deal with each Individual.

What looch?? How hard do you think editing a few Faces is??

Instead of editing so many Average players.. Why not edit some Classic players instead?? It is nothing difficult, they already have the Licenses from most National Teams, so it would be a matter of simply adding a few Faces to the Edit Mode.

Remember the "Special Haircuts"?? the ones that included Roberto Baggio's trademark hairstyle, Valderrama's huge fro, and Zidane's hairstyle.. They could do the same with the Faces, maybe add some "Special Faces" to the Editing Mode.

This way we could look for them faces and create Classic Players that actually look like their real-life counterparts used to look.. and it is nothing Illegal as they already have many National Teams fully licensed -and- They have already done the same with Zinedine Zidane in PES6, so I don't see why they cannot do the same with the rest of the Classics.

Fifa is not looking better. Graphics and gameplay are both a win for Pes. Look at the videos for Pes09 and compare them to Fifa 09. Which one resembles real football?
I'm not a pes fanboy. I just buy the best football game and almost all the time I end up getting Pes. Pes is surly bettr this year. Last year the gap between them closed down but this year it became bigger again. The body movements in Pes 09 are very good. The defending is back to normal so far too. So I can't seea reason to say Fifa is better.

Umm I used to love PES but fifa 08 was the best football game eevr made and fifa 09 looks like a great improvement.

In other words fifa 08 and fifa 09 resembles real football, and pro evo is an arcade. Pro used to be much better than fifa until last year and this year pes looks exactly the same as pes 08 whereas fifa have improved on gameplay. There's realistic collisions, movements and the ball moves with realistic ball physics. In Pro, it just seems to move like its on ice without bouncing. The players move in square movements and apart from the faces, the player models look current generation. I cant believe you think pes looks better graphically?!?!

The gap has become bugger again because fifa 09 has improved again whereas pro has stagnated.

Ive watched videos for both and I just cant understand how anyone who plays the game would prefer pro evo.

Im sure Im going to get replies to this saying Im a fifa fanboy etc, but its my opinion and Im sure when the games come out, you will all be disappointed.

But my point is, the graphics on fifa 09 are absolutely stunning, and you could mistake it for real life. But the bonus is they have improved gameplay this year.
