Waiting....
I've always found there to a be a learning curve with Pros. I'm enjoying getting use to the game, I didn't want a game where I could just pick it up and beat the computer on top level in my first game.

I agree, although I did win my first match, followed by three defeats
It usually take me between two and three weeks to master my system of playing. But, once you get into the swing of things, you can be creative as you wish.

Compare the Spanish League to the England League for a second. The Spanish League you can play at walking pace, when they come up against the English teams, they are forced to play at England League pace which doesn't suit them. When every an English Team comes up against a Spainish or Italian team, who advances to the next round most of the time?. almost every year the Semi Final contains at least 3 English Teams.

Back on-topic, i Brought FIFA09 yesterday and played it round my mates, since ma XBOX360 has the 3 redlights, and i have to say, its sort of like FIFA08, with a bit more tweaks. Its a brilliant game, but from all the hype from other people it just doesn't live up to it.

Yet to play PES2009, but from reviews and the pole, it could be a hit. Don't forget this is just the demo there could be more in the final version. I just hope the AI dont keep crossing the ball from one-side to the other inside thier own half every 5mins.

Only in the past 2 seasons. Infact, it was only last season. Italian and Spanish teams have dominated Europe for a long time now.

For me PES 2009 is just a very good patch for PES 2009 where defence are fixed, ball physics is better and graphic is better some 15%-20%!And that is all!I mean...they were so lazy that they copy/paste goals&nets from PES 2008!Where is "back to a drawing board" thing?!

well
i played a no of games vs AI and human players
my key focus was on gameplay
the + points are that the some typical goal scoring strategies seen in PES 6 are gone
like immediately taking the shot near penalty area which resulted in absurd goals from impossible angles
also responses are not stored
which adds to the gameplay & u have to focus more on what is going on
long shots are also difficult to take
b/c of early closing down by defense which were way way easy in PES 6
but for me the major let down is the
scripting stuff when in certain gameplay sequences u know the AI is going to always score no matter what u do
so that doesnt live up to the spirit of the game
also thru passess are bit easier esp diagnol ones
& the AI doesnt respond correctly it tries to run backwards rather then intercepting
(perhaps it was b/c i was passing to Henry, scripting?)
shoots dont have a sting in them
perhaps that needs a little tweaking
keepers are very shaky
they dont goal for the balls early
perhaps thats needs balancing too
grfx are superb, animations brilliant
sound effect poor, music crap
to some it all up as stated by someone earlier
its PES 2008 with no stuttering and gameplay tweaked
so its nthing groundbreaking despite what KONAMI says
i also played FIFA 09 demo pc
and its absolutely rubbish
atleast on the PC
same boring repitative gameplay
no reward for creativity
some might disagree
but then its also a matter of personal taste
looking forward to ur feedback

Anyone else has a problem with supersonic replays?

Also when there's a dead ball situation, the game looks on steroyds....

After pumping the demo for a good couple of days, I have to take back my original comment about the shooting. Yes, it is a little more airy but if you time it right with the kind of player that would be capable of hitting a screamer, you will hit a screamer. I just scored an absolute rocket with Rooney.

Every little minute detail of this game is starting to appear. The off-the-ball movement from team mates, the opposition's ability to rip you up occasionally and the realistic goalscoring opportunities.

Bring on release day.

Just played my first game and beat Man U 1-0 with Liverpool.

First Impression: F*cking Awsome

Pro's

-You have control over the ball. In 2008 it felt that eventhough you put the controls on manual the AI still decided if your pass came through.
-The AI seems fair as far as referree decisions. I had received some free kicks which made me go wow. In 2008 the AI damn nearly saw you head off and the only comment your got from Motson was "Good Tackle on the ball"..which often made me go ballistic.
- They seems to have gotten rid of the shit cheat that made the ball end up with the AI after tackles.
- Improved graphics

Con's

- I'm getting sick of the same referree every freaking game. Aren't there any other races on this planet earth. They used the same ref with enhanced graphics
- Same background music which makes me wonder if I'm playing an intended version of 2008.
-The pace is slower which makes gamepplay "heavier", less dynamic
- Caught the AI with one goalkeeper cheat. Van de Sar storm to catch a ball in mid-air but he should have landed outside of his 16 box but seemed to jump against a invisible wall that kept him in....hmmm will be looking closely on this

That's my 2 cents for now I will update as I play more games but it's much much much much better than the previous two editions

as a demo it flatters to decieve ,its great looking but the ball seems to lack a bit of pace ,altho the players seem to be right physically ,but the delicate passing you can do is one improvement but yet fustrating

concerned at the lack of berbatov in the man utd team too ,officially licensed but not correct

i will wait to hear feedback on the full game before decieding whether or not to purchase the game particularly its online play

It's not the final build.

I can't see them releasing the game with Berbatov in Spurs when all it takes is 1 minute to change him team.

Demo is very good.

just lacking something...

Everything seems to be perfect except the gameplay.

There are new modes, the graphics are tons better, the advertising is brilliant......

but.....

It's the just the gameplay that isn't up there with it.
Players don't feel unique any more and the play is extremely sluggish, plus, "referee's still being as awful" as "Tevez is handsome". All the players are extremely cumbersome and feel like defenders and then i realised (whilst playing with Italy) that Buffon had as much dribbling skill and control as some of the midfielders! (or at least tha's what it felt like). I am a traditional Master League player and even though some people objected to the gameplay in PES2008, i felt the variety in players was sublime! You knew as soon as Castolo picked up the ball or a retarded Libermann, but now they all feel the same!

Hey, i'm still buying PES2009, but i feel they have put way too much work into the new modes instead of making the gameplay what it should be, which is a million miles better than FIFA.

Good luck to PES2009, but it just could've been SOOOOOO much better.

Cheers,
Carlos

I've just played this for the first time, and I can honestly say I don't like it. It feels too heavy and slow for my liking. I got sent off early for a challenge which wasn't even worthy of a yellow card :realmad:. The graphics are good though.

My friends & I are trying to love this game but it's just not happening. Sure the player models are great & the game play is an improvement on PES 2008 but it hasn't moved on!

This a next gen game? GTFO!

Is it just me?
No one has the same problem?

What's the point of having replays, if they go 10x faster than actual gameplay?!

I'm considering it a bug, not a feature...
