Exactly. I mean yes you might be on the end of a 7-1 thumping late in a game but you'd rather try and end up keeping it at 7-1 than about and lose 8-1 or 9-1.
Going back to the original question: the reason I didn't pass it back is because a duo can score from kick-off with a touch of luck and some good passing as Berry and Phatmann did in a game yesterday.
By the way, when from kick-off I keep hold of the ball, move backwards and then move sideways I'm looking for runners and buying myself time before needing to offload the ball. That way two players can surge ahead to support the striker who will already have gone giving a better chance of a goal.
Should've seen me being Pirlo yesterday. But better. Because it isn't hard to be better than him. I even scored a free-kick last night (when playing as CF). He couldn't do that in a year. In fact, he hasn't.
I was quite enjoying the two long through balls I played from there as well and felt I'm disciplined enough with holding my position. I went in for a tackle high up the field and missed my man which is where he ended up scoring after a cross from the winger as I was sprinting back. Pirlo would've done that six times in those 2/3 games.

Fuckin sorry fellas. 85th minute, i have the ball attacking position and honestly by the time i realise its me with the ball its too late. i've had couple of rough nights, im tired. orange ball in the sunlight on my 32in just dont work together for me
thats me retired from online pro, i'm just a big liability with my shite stats. I'll go back to playing season with my pro yadda
on a finishing note, i just say use the wings more phat. thats why i asked to go any for 1 game. You rarely use the wings as first choice option and if things arent clicking at half time, change the formation. thats another reason i wanted any, first half see the opponent's weakness then in 2nd exploit it with craft formation

Yeah it should work well so long as one of the two midfielders stays back. I did wander forward a couple of times in that one game and could have been made to pay for it. You'll tend to find me going back at corners too - the previous night the two times I stayed in the area for attacking corners the opposition broke fast and had a shot.
Just a shame FIFA doesn't appreciate my sitting back and being tactical, rating me with a paltry 7 :|
It'd be nicer to play a 4-1-2-1-2 where I'm the DM and have two midfielders ahead of me who will know I'm going to sit back.

How Fab played in CM last night is how everyone should be playing in a central midfield role. He was mopping up at the back and dictating the play, getting involved in everything and always in space. This made it much easier for me to start attacks but even though we won 6-0 I didn't play all too well and it should have been a lot more.

This has been the main reason why I've been put off playing any more. It's a pain trying to level up at the back added to the fact that I get ridiculously low ratings doesn't help. Unless I score I rarely get over a 6. I may try a role in midfield.

The entire rating system is farcical. I've played games where I've scored six goals and two assists... but I didn't recieve a ten due playing someone in who was marginally offside. Then I've receive a ten because I scored two goals, doesn't make any sense. The rating of defensive players is rubbish, the rating system still cares what you do offensively rather than defensively rewarding people who wander out of position and cause all types of defensive problems for the team.
