Oooh, Villene thats an idea. Its up to you guys, what do you want to see; Riquelme posted on his own or you can wait a while and have a Ronaldinho vs Riquelme. The only problem with doing a comparison with Ronaldinho is that he is better than Riquelme in pretty much all departments!

Papa

Thank you for reading.
I'd prefer a straight analysis mate...also are you going to do my Boa Morte? Don't mind if you aren't going to, just would like to know.

Maybe if you posted up riquelme now, and then edited the post with a ronaldinho comparison when you have nailed his stats.. just a suggestion of course.

Personally I would rather do a straight analysis, as I dont really have the time to put into a comparison which needs an awful lot of time to do well. Sorry guys.

Oh and Papaboubadiop, of course I will be doing your request sir. I guess the downside to the thoroughness of this thread is that it takes more time, and hence peoples requests take longer...

Papa

Thank you for reading.
Ok, thats fine bagrunnel, thanks a lot and take your time. You're doing a fantastic job here

Okay then, a straight analysis of Riquelme it is then. I will try and post that up tomorrow.

Also guys, if anybody has any ideas for this thread please post them up. I want to try and make this the most comprehensive editing thread around, so I welcome any suggestions or comments. :)

* Dibbling, passing, playmaking, outside.

A talismanic figure for his club, Riquelme plays a pivotal midfield role and is blessed with tremendous passing, skill, and vision.

The first thing to notice is that he is not as fast as some would think he was. Ive seen him rated a lot in the mid to high 80's, but that is definitely to high. 78 for both top speed are perfect, and mean he sure isnt slow, but not overrated as often happens with this player. Good stamina and mentality at 83 and 80 respectivley mean he is good at keeping his work rate at a high level throughout the large majority of the match.

Next his fabulous technichal ability. His technique value is 92, which is just right for Riquelme. In real life he has an excellent first touch and a textbook of tricks and stepovers so this value gives the him the ability ingame to perform these features to a realistic standard. Again he isnt the fastest dribbler, with a dribble speed of 77, but his accuracy is great. 90 means he is extremely confident dribbling around the midfield. His pace doesnt beat defenders, but with dribble accuracy of 90, Technique of 92, and the dribbling star, he is going to behve very realistically.

A great free kick taker as well, 85 for both curling and free kick accuracy mean he has an accurate level of profficiency at free kicks ingame. Many people may not realise the complete meaning of the curling stat. Not only does it affect the amount of swerve the player can apply (e.g. left to right), but it also has an affect on the players ability to make the ball DIP. So not only is 85 going to give him great curl, but dip also which is another of his characteristics.

Final point to make is his passing game. Simply fantastic in distributing the ball, and playing superbly weighted cutting balls through to the forwards, Riquelme's stats now reflect this very well. Many people will have seen the recent match between Argentina and Ivory Coast, and his pass for Saviola's goal was just one of many which demonstrates his great ability. In addition to 94 in short pass accuracy and 92 in long pass accuracy, he also has the playmakng and passing stars, which contribute to making him extremely realistic when playing his delightful through balls ingame. Finally the addition of the outside star helps portray a final asset of his; great use of the outside of the boot.

Be hard, the classic 'various creators' thread was fairly epic. However, the effort put into this is quite amazing. Riquelme will be done in my game tonight. Thanks.

Well Villene, I am just going to try my hardest and keep on putting the same amount of effort in that I am currently! Ah yes that was an AWESOME thread. I believe Ferdinand93 will be back amongst us and editing soon, so that will be two of us at it, and will hopefully increase the amount of work done. You never maybe someone else will come along and just add a little something to the thread. Could maybe have three people doing it and that would definitely be more active. Or maybe even just someone on the thread who might just research heights and weights for example. I dont know, anything to make the thread better. Like I said I would like it to be the most comprehensive editind thread on pesinsight.com, and I think it definitely has the calibre to do that. Ultimately, I would like to incorporate more things on the thread, e.g. a really talented kit maker, boot maker, stuff like that.

I agree with Villene, kits and stuff should wait until PES6, so I think its better to just carry on as we are until then.
