Yes, sir. It sure does. I wouldn't spend hours finding info and guides for FIFA, but I would for PES. So, yeah. It does show how much I know, thanks for pointing that out, captain obvious ;).

FIFA= Joga Bonito
We/PES= Football

All depends on what you like.

I played the FIFA demo, and loved it. However, I didn't like how I couldn't have tactics.

No attacking midfielders, no defensive fowards...:(

However, I enjoyed the free-flowing attacking football in fifa, are there cheeky stuff like abck heels in fifa?

I wonder if the FIFA forums have the same debates, but in reverse obviously.

reddevils, are you actually rich or are your parents paying for your video gaming pleasures.

definition of rich: can by two or more video games!

Indeed, all demos are just plain shit, you can't say nothing, until you play the final product, will be difficult for FIFA to catch with WE in gameplay terms, but FIFA 07's got some pretty good reviews already, let's wait and see.

Who said that the demo is not simply reflecting the final game. The demo has the same gameplay as the final one. And in my opinion, the most important part in any football game is, without doubt, the gameplay, the performance on pitch. Anything comes after gameplay...............

What are the most important points in any football game? (To me)
1-Gameplay. 2-Gameplay.
3-Gameplay. 4-Gameplay.
5-Tactics. 6-Tactics.
7-Tactics. 8-Anything comes after.
9--Anything comes after. 10--Anything comes after.

EA say they started the FIFA game engine from scratch 2 years ago?

Looks like they just took the engine apart and put it back together again.

As anyone tried the 360 version of FIFA as it is the only one with the new engine. I think we should here from somebody that as played it before poo pooing it.

I played Fifa07 demo on my PC yesterday. And here what I do think about it:

1-The graphics, including the video and the atmosphere of The Emirates Stadium, are very good and that sunny day is amazing......9/10( till now, i did not see the rainy and snowy atmosphere yet).

2-The audio, including the menu music and the commentary, are improved...9/10( I heared it from EA Trax).

3-The gameplay is exactly the same as Fifa06. In other words, EA made no improvement in the gameplay. Beside there is no offensive and defensive midfielders, for example in case of 4-4-2 formation, 4 players are placed along side each other!!!!! all what I can say about the game that it completely sucks...ZERO/10.

4-The Tactics: Believe it or not...Still there are no tactics in Fifa series....ZERO/10.

5-The faces: No improvement...the same as Fifa06(few new faces)...1/10.

After playing just 2 matches (2 half times), I felt completely fed up and I closed my PC. I think I can give the Demo totally 3/10 and nothing more.
It seems that EA producers have no any relation to football and they're just producing the game for countries that do not hear anything about football except from EA.
EA seem to be from another planet, very far away from earth.

I'd agree pretty much with this evaluation of the PC/PS2 version. I think you have been far too generous with the ratings for graphics and sound tho.

The graphics looked very bland to me, and the player models looked so poor (especially compared to current-gen PES). I would give it a 6 at best altho perhaps lower knowing that a PC can handle so much better.

Sound wise, whilst the commentary was quite as were the menu music (and other presentation elements), it repeated so much it felt like I was hearing the same script read for every game I played. This could be down to it just being a demo but I wasn't overly impressed. FIFA commentary hasn't got a scratch on other EA sports tites in this area. I'd give this a 7 as well.

After thinking, I have to change the ratings given to both the audio and the graphics. So 7 to the audio and 6 to the graphics sounds more fairer.
Thanks for the serious comment Psimonius.

Only a fool would choose FIFA over PES/WE.

FIFA's only pluses are the licenses and the First Touch feature, which is really cool. Apart from that it's a lesser game in every aspect.

Actually, their stadiums aren't that bad. Also, their interface is much more pleasing to the eye. Regardless, PES is far superior to FIFA in the graphics department.

Although, in the end, i agree with what Ahmedios implied. EA are ripping off people and taking advantage of the fact that they have the licenses to every league on the planet. That's why i think they don't really bother improving their engine.

i think fifa improved from recent years. BUT WHAT IS UP WITH THE FORMATION AND TACTICS DO THEY NOT UNDERSTAND !!! You shouldnt be limited to how ever many formations they have installed. There are no tactics. I like the whole personal player traits and ball physics though. They should have added better tactics than just pressing direction keys for silly little shites, but they gotta start somewhere rite. they need to change their player models to make it more realistic. i'm still going to play fifa but i can see myself playing PES a lot more.(especially with kitserver and lodmixer with either Bluescouse or Watsons option file)

If i was FIFA (EAS) I wouldn't spend a lot of time making a game for second gen, thus releasing a poor game on the PS2 / PC (must remember the team that have been creating FIFA for the last few years are about to get the bullet, so probably not that interested), afterall I have just invested 2 years in making a next gen version, I want people to buy that one, and if MS are involved they will want that too. I will buy the PS3 and probably only PES to play on it, I am sure they will be a few FIFA fans that will do the same, increasing sales for MS, whilst FIFA dump second gen ASAP.

Whats happening in the FIFA forums is a mass exodus towards pro-evo(for 360 anyway). The say EA have let them down with the lack of leagues.

So, when FIFA 07 flops, prepare for a wave of new jacks bigger than any influx you've ever experienced.

Interesting, should make FIFA 08 better, or the same with more leagues. However I am not ready to see PES make the number 1 spot just yet, there is still a lot of work to be done yet and I fear complancency may just set in.

You are completely right when you say that they shouldn't release the game for at least a year and working for another improved engine. But who hates money? Especially when there are people who still buy such series.
