Bulgaria (JTHK2004) V Denmark (Gedo)

As you can see each team has a chance of qualification, but Denmark suffering from an inferior goal different may prove to be a stumbling block should they finish level on points with either Sweden and Bulgaria. Italy are in the pole position, but all can change if results dont go their way today.
In a minute we shall be off to Portugal for Bulgaria V Denmark. But first a little analysis of the form of both teams. Denmark need to recover from their heavy defeat to Italy, and it will be interesting to see if they can come abck against a Bulgarian side who managed to score a glut of goals against Sweden in their opening game. They do however still look a defender shot at the back and will need to concentrate as they come up against super fast wingers Gronkjaer and Rommedahl, who is actually playing a free role behind the front two. Bulgaria's 3 goal hero against Sweden Jankovic is in the lineup but will tuck in behind the front three, hoping to probe forward and give the Danes something to worry about. Ok, let's have a look at the starting lineup

It was crunch time in Braga, as Denmark took to the field for their second match in Group C, against Bulagaria. Both teams fielded an attacking lineup which showed their intent on going for a win, but it turned out in reality that Bulgaria hardly featured as an attacking unit as the Danes totally dominated the match from start to finish, limiting the Bulgarians to just 2 shots on goal. An amazing statistic, compared to the Dane's 11 but failed to convert any of them. Rommedahl was excellent, making a few good runs through the defence, and a spectacular volley went just wide early on. Tommason had a shot go inches wide, a good effort from the outside of this foot. The best chance camr from Manchev, who was put through on goal, but he shot over the bar. The second half was all Denmark again, they just pressed and pressed and tested the Bulgarian defence, buit just couldnt find a breakthrough. A header by Sand on 85 minutes could have won the match but it hit the post. It was crucial that Denmark did not get beat in this match and they contained the threat from Bulgaria, who would be satisfied with a draw. Their manager, JTHK, set out his intention to get 3 draws in the group stages which thinks it would be enough to get through this group, but they would need a betetr performance agains the Italian in their last match. But today, they have done just enough. The Danes would feel they should have won the match, but it wasn't their day. They are hanging in the tournament but are now relying on other results to go their way and of course they need a result against the Swedes. But the game in Braga finished, 0-0.
