He's got one goal in five appearances at 5.8  Hoogendorp is their danger man in mine with 20 goals and was all over me in the 2-2 draw I had with them at my place, scoring both.

They just (literally) lost 2-0 away to bottom club Eindhoven who I beat 4-3 with a goal as the clock said 90:00. I've got one game left and am three points clear of them having just dominated Den Bosch but only drawn 1-1.

On the same day, my lucky Milan team just beat Barcelona 2-0 at home to reach the CL semi-finals 4-3 on aggregate. Suffered my first league defeat of the season though, going down 3-1 at Roma despite them being without Totti and Taddei.

EDIT: I've got Inter in the semi-finals  they just thumped Valencia 7-4 on aggregate. The other semi is Marseille-Liverpool :shocking:

April 13: Inter (H) - Serie A
April 16: Inter (A) - Coppa Italia S/F Leg 1
April 19: Juventus (H) - Serie A
April 23: Inter (H) - CL S/F Leg 1
April 27: Genoa (A) - Serie A
April 30: Inter (A) - CL S/F Leg 2
May 4: Catania (A) - Serie A
May 7: Inter (H) - Coppa Italia S/F Leg 2

Every season I end up with a shit period in March or April coinciding with the CL quarter or semi-finals.

Dan, seems the title is yours. I hope things don't go wrong. In FM07 for a season I was Reading, in January I was 4th and in the end of the season I ended up 10th. My key players were either getting banned or injured.

Hmmm....

In summer 2008, Arsenal signed Silva for £49m from Sevilla, Inter in classic fashion spent £37m on a wing-back form Deportivo who joined them from a Mexican club at the start of the game (his stats are excellent but still), Juventus as in FM2007 signed Mikel Arteta for way too much and I, somehow, managed to sign a distraught Adriano for £29m (includes monthly instalments) simply because I got fed up of how long it was taking for Inter and I to agree a price.

I desperately tried some crazy negotiations to sign either Frey or Buffon, bidding the same on both players at the same time but neither Fiorentina or Juventus would accept my bids, even when they hit £33m + 10% sell-on offers...but it was at the end of the summer 2008 window so I expected that, plus they weren't getting much money up-front. I'm now stuck with a worsening Dida, shite Abbiati, indifferent Storari and wank Kalac.

Also managed to sign France under-21 skipper Pierre Ducasse as Bordeaux weren't too bothered with him. England won Euro 2008, beating France 1-0 in the final and Donadoni got sacked after going out at the group stage only to be replaced by Ancelotti.

Gilardino hit form at the end of my first season and has carried it into the second which is good news considering the fans have had enough of Inzaghi, Ronaldo is inconsistent and Alexandre Pato keeps missing easy chances. I got a nice surprise though as Ricardo Oliveira return from loan (I forgot I still owned him) after I rejected a crap £3.1m offer from Zaragoza where he did well.

Barry, after leaving Volendam following automatic promotion they're second in the Dutch top flight after five games. I wanted them to struggle to show how amazing my second manager was

 I get that sometimes too

Juventus bought Rooney for an astonishing 103 million, I was quite surprised as the former highest fee was about 49 million. Meanwhile I have a really talented squad, although it's a bit too foreign for my liking. I got De Guzman from Feyenoord early on, but Inter always go ridiculously over the top for him and he's gone after about a year. I still have Huntelaar, Heitinga, Stekelenburg and some young youth products such as Goossens who I plan to slowly integrate in the first eleven.

2 words. Fernando Torres.

Got 22 in 34 prem games last season for me, and so far he's got 9 in 8 for me this season, and leads the scoring charts by 4. Enjoying top spot at the moment, hoping it continues ;)

Is it just me or the 'confidence' thing is a bit stupid at times, like I'm on a 15 match unbeaten run in the Prem (11 of them have been wins), and the board said they are angry at my recent form and are demanding me to improve it..

To put the icing on the cake, I'm expected to get into the FA Cup and Carling Cup finals...

Simon Vukcevic is a decent winger on my game, is very solid, signed him for a bargain 3.1m from Sporting and got about 3 assists in 10(2), so far this season, he has 4 assists in 6 games, the problem is this season he may not get too many games as Seb Leto is quality on mine, got 7 assists in 19 games for me last season and has about 2 assists in 3(1) so far this season.

If your looking for a great right back in the game, sign Wigan's Ryan Taylor, he's been quality for me, got about 9 assists in 28 games last season from right back, and got a international call up, only for them to drop him from the Euro 08 squad in favor of Curtis Davies, despite Taylor averaging 7.35 in the Prem (The highest average for a defender) and he has failed to break back into the squad, Steve preferring to play a out of form Richards at right back (only averaging 6.81) and a aging Gary Neville who has yet to play for United this season.

That's reminded me: Kaka, my top goalscorer in my first season with 20-odd goals has been dropped by Brazil. Firstly to the under-23 team and now completely.

Barry, classic Inter stuff for you here: I wanted Lazio's teenage right-back De Silvestri but failed in summer 2007 so went for him again in summer 2008, having to bid about £10m. Out of nowhere Inter bid, offered him stupid money in his contract (£40,000 per week) and he joined them  They'd already stolen Goran Pandev from the likes of Arsenal, signing him in Janaury 2008 for £19m. How much money do they have?!

Has anyone else had insane board expections? It's really pissing me off tbh

Like the board was statifised with my performance as manager, I drew 2-2 away to Reading or someone like that, with basically a B team, had about 5 players out injuried, and the board was disappointed with my efforts, dam American owners.

Start a new game with Inter, check their amount of money and don't save it. ;)

You're doing well Raf. In FM07 Yossi was playing Ryan Taylor(Wigan) as a right winger, if my mind serves me right.

Yea, he was put on the right wing in his sole England cap, got a assist and got a 8 rating, but I feel he's much better at right back, though sometimes I do play him at right midfield to give Barragan a chance.

Best start trying a bit harder.

Just ended my winless streak by thumping Preston 4-0 at Deepdale. I decided to give young striker Victor Moses his debut and he was awesome. Setting up two for Cresswell and one for Francisco Duran.

Gerrard just had 8 shots against Derby in my 4-1 drubbing of them, all of them from 30 yards+ and he managed to get 7 on target, and lashed in a hat-trick

5 goals in 8 premiership games from the captain, 7 in 12 in all competitions, he's started brilliantly, and Spurs just lost 3-2 at home against Man City, I now have a 5 point lead at the top

While Manchester United is falling apart, they lost 16 staff in the off-season after Ferguson didn't have his contract renewed, all leaving as they were angered by Ferguson's deperature, Man U bought in Coppell as their manager and bought in new staff, but they have been woeful so far this season, I think the mass leaving of the coaches has really affected them badly.

Burnley are in the Premiership in mine, I'm only in 08/09 as well

They somehow managed to beat Sunderland and it's there first win of the season, I want to see if they can beat the all time lowest points total I've seen in a Prem season, which was on FM07 where Leeds only scored 15 points in the whole season

So despite winning about 90% of my recent games, I'm apparently still doing shit?

Happens with me sometimes. There's this and the too many controversies that need to be fixed, so I think.

Victor Moses, Nathan? I'll keep an eye out for him when I start with a Championship side.

In my Man Utd game, I'm still in 07-08. Unbeaten so far with 35 points.(11 wins and 2 draws) I got pissed off with one of the draws though, against Blackburn. My team dominated the game and got a few disallowed goals.

It's a been more than a week since I've played FM, I'll need to get back to playing.

One who I discovered when I did a bit of snooping around the Under 18s league.

He's not ready for regular first team football yet, so I've loaned him out to Leyton Orient where he's gor 3 in 4, but he'll be brilliant in the not so distant future.

May even be worth a punt with a Prmeiership side if you're looking to the future.

Zeefuik is starting to hit the ground running now. And Aaritalo is almost match fit, so I'm sure I'll be in the top half by Christmas and top six by the end of the season.
