Well I'm going to the video game shop tommorrow, and I could of sworn I've seen this before, I'll buy it if I see it :D

Also would these specs be alright to run the game:
Intel (R)
Pentium(R), 4CPU 3.00GHz
2.99GHz, 496 MB of RAM

Probably not but o well.

Brilliant game still, playing it for some time now.

I decided to start over as England, tried to rape the Scots in the North after you take over York, although the Pope isn't too happy with that so I'll get them and the Pope later on. You already start off with Caen in France, so they don't pose much of a problem and if you get Brussels(if the Danes didn't already) it will only give you more opporutnities.

The Pope seems eager to start Crusades though.
I once read a post in totalwar.org where this guy compares The Pope and The Church to organized crime. He was spot on.

I've been negleting this game because i want to complete NWN2 first.

Have yet to buy NWN2, I must admit in shame. Until then, I'm more than content with Medieval Total War as I have yet to ruin the Byzantines.

And yeah, that comparison may not be too far from the truth.

If you haven't played the total war series before i would start off on shogun, play the mongol expansion, then medieval along with the VE expansion. I would play rome but only briefly as it is pretty shit save the mods for it. Medieval II is one hell of a good game but i would play medieval first to understand what the game is about.

You could also download my mod for medieval entitled BKB super mod, It really is fucking good. Me and a team are working on a mod for medieval II which concentrates on a new map encompassing Britain and its isles, Iceland, Greenland, the faroes, North America and the west of Africa

I'll post some pics up if you fancy seeing the mods i have done for medieval and am still working on one which is a smaller scale mod in the same vein as i'm doing for medieval II

The Pope is such a manipulative, backstabbing son of a whore.

All he does is send us on crusades and pit Christians against each other.

That's it. I'm going to build cathedrals, recruit priests and slowly take over the Vatican. Cardinal after Cardinal, until the entire council is made up of English clergymen. I'll teach that bastard to mess with me and my plans for world domination.

I won't rest until i control the Church and the Pope is one of ours.

I completely ignored him after he was pissed I went after the Scots, but I took both their settlements in one turn, truly a diabolical scheme. Still those Frenchies are terribly annoying, as are the Danes who churn out units at will and attack my Belgian settlements in a constant rate

I'll probably ring around some gaming shops tommorrow and see if I can get it ;)

Cause it sounds brillant, can you actually overthrow your pope?

You can kill him and his faction, but they'll just find a new place to settle once you've eradicted them. And if you just kill the Pope, a new one is installed.

The danes really fuck me off in that game. I always see a large force heading their way to antwerp (which is always in a constant state of rebellion anyway) and proceed to surround the place. I fight them off, launch a counter (once hitting them with a sneaky seaborne invasion taking norway and aboutto strike them off the radar when the Pope( a danish snatch may i add) warns me off. The norse war clerics also piss me off and whenever i face the danes i take no prisoners, the same goes for portugal. I don't fuck about with those two cunts.

There is one city per province mate, and I think there's about 100-110 provinces, I'm not sure on this.

Loosely, not in the modern sense. Counties, Duchy's, fiefs, kingdoms, emirates, states, principalities, colonies, geographical areas such as the Sahara, that type of thing
