Just been playing pes3 final version round my mates house:
The speed of the game is just right, not too fast and not too slow. The weak headers that were present in WE7 have been corrected. The stutter problem that was present on the beta version and on the demo has completely gone. Seems to be harder than WE7 aswell as im finding even 3* ( ) a bit challenging. The game seems to flow better aswell.
Overall: This is the best PES/WE game ever. If you were put off buying pes3 by the sub standard demo you should still get this as it is about 10 times better. The demo doesn't do pes3 justice at all. This is the best football game ever!!!

Couple of nights ago I won the world cup with England (on my first attempt) with England - with a bit of style too. Gave France a 2-0 headstart in the semi and managed to win it with a silver goal.
Last night I tried a world cup with Wales. Results were 0-0, 0-1 and 0-1. Gutted. Wales suck big time!
Today, I played as Madrid. In a ten minute Konami Cup match against Ajax, Raul scored 5 goals. All 5 were headers, 4 from high Figo crosses and one from a Beckham corner. Raul was on a yellow arrow and Figo was on a blue. It finished 6-1. Some of the headers shouldn't have gone in but just managed to creep in. One was from the edge of the area and went into the top right corner of the goal. Maybe headers are a little too easy?

Headers in WE7 were quite a considerable change from FE and PES2, and quite hard to master at first but I think I've pretty much nailed it down now although I'm still not perfect.
Sad to hear that Zyg. It seems the complaints Konami got from WE7 probably pushed them to make the heading easier, maybe too easy (when have they done that before ). Sigh.

Like the ones we could get from ShowUsMiracle? Yeah, that would probably work. I've heard suggestions of people wanting to do that for the speed of players in PES3 too as supposedly it's too fast.
just been playin the final version here down under, comparisons made to pes3 beta. i can see where kezz is coming from, the player animations (especially in the way in which they run) do look a little fast but the overall pace of the game is quite good. as i said i cant compare to WE7 but it seems the same pace as the demo. also headers seem a bit to easy and probably at least half of my goals are headers either from free play or from corners/set pieces. This might be due to the fact that the AI seems to defend much tighter in and around the box making it harder to play through the middle, although possible.
on a different note, has anyone else noticed that they have tweaked the advantage, probably 9/10 of mine are correctly given and actually make a good decision.
also handball doesnt seem to be given as often, and i can actually run the commentry now to see when it is given for handball

Glad to see most of ya are giving the final version good reviews many ppl are saying its harder than we7 even with the headers being easyer .

Most stupid thing I ever heard
I got the final version on friday 10/10, and have won all the cups by now, so u can say i have played my share.
The stuff that this guy writes i totally ridicolous.
First of all the stutter bug is gone, so either he has got a fucked up version of the game, or his PS2 is running for it's last hour
I have played all the games in the PES - and WE - series, and PES3 is without any doubt the best game, and it beats it's predecessors big time.
By the way haven't you seen the reviews?????

Its pretty fair to say that.. People like Pro Evo 3!!. THe offical PS2 magazine is the best reviewer and they gave it 10/10! Either way, im still gonna get it!

You have to remember what Kezz said was opinion and so are reviews. I can't speak for the other reviews but I know for a fact the British magazines there can't really be trusted. If you read their reviews, it's quite clear that they're reviewing a BETA version of the game, and if you remember Kezz mentioned it was last minute changes that had ruined the game for him.
Anyway, I'll not saying anything until I've played the game more.

The Official release of Pro Evolution Soccer 3 on October 17th will ensure that it is truly all over for any potential pretenders to the Football Gaming throne and will no doubt add many more admirers to an already highly respected title.
PES Ultras and Aficionados will notice the variety of improvements straight away and will undoubtedly be highly impressed with the accomplished work of KCETs finest.
Using the FIFpro license once again Konami have ensured that many real footballers appear in game and this provides that extra element of realism. Some see a potential setback in the fact that the official kits and licenses aren’t universal within the game; others though will see this as an opportunity to express some creative talent and customise the game, as they want it. Nearly everything can be edited on players including hairstyles and boots, whilst the Kit Editor and Badge Editor allow you to produce highly accurate recreations of your favourite club sides crest or third strip.
For European fans of Pro Evolution Soccer the usual language variations apply with specific commentators and co-presenters being used for the relevant language.

The New Graphics Engine used by the development team provides Pro Evolution Soccer 3 with an enormous amount of detail meaning that players not only look realistic but their movement is also extremely lifelike down to the smallest detail. For example, facial expressions change and reactions of players vary depending on the situation giving them the ability to express pleasure, joy or dicontent.
The popular Master League has been improved by giving us 4 divisions instead of the usual 3 and also providing the chance to take part in European competition mid season thanks to an ever increasing number of club teams available to choose from.
The computer AI within the PES3 has also been improved to create a more competitive game as they can adapt to your specific style of play. This means that variation of players’ tactics and strategies is even more important than ever. Attacking players can now also drag defenders away to create space and offer other opportunities to score. Skills and tricks have also been added and can be performed to perfection by players with higher ratings thus recreating the general balance and diversity of the footballing world. So, someone like Zinedine Zidane or Luis Figo is more likely to successfully use the 360’ spin than someone with less ability. Shooting has been vastly improved and players are now capable of hitting a stunning volley or a powerful first time strike. Goalkeepers are more animated and harder to beat and they are capable of producing some superb saves. The variety in the styles of referees now also ensures that all decisions are not 100% accurate and that a foul may not necessarily be a foul and that disallowed goal may not have actually been offside.
The differing skill levels ranging from 1* beginner to Extreme mode provide a greater challenge for the Established Star & Youth Player alike and help to ensure the longevity of what should become a classic title.
