Official WE7/PES3 Patch Help

Can anyone explain what over.afs does (and how to edit it if necessary)? Cos, I applied jb's Euro2004 but the strangest thing happened.

The over.afs I downloaded with the .rar was bigger than the one in the image and I couldn't use it so I left the one that was already there and took a chance. The cd was created ok, but I got the kit of Latvia for Hungary but no team or player data (still Hungarians).

So I am wondering if data_e.afs holds the data info, what happened there?

Sorry if that info is available anywhere else in the site but I haven't managed to gather such information.

data_e.afs has all graphic and audio details, like kits, stadiums, chants, music etc., the over.afs has player stats, formations etc., so if the patch includes new teams, but you import only the data_e.afs and not the over.afs then you´ll only have the kits, chants of the new team, but not the player data. It happened also to me that the over.afs didn´t fit into the image. Probably it´s the fault of your rip.

So how did you overcome this problem?

I had several rips on my harddisk, and I can remember that it had fit into one of them. I´m sorry that I can´t help more but I don´t have PES anymore, only playing WE7. One of the solutions could be to use an up to date option file.

Hi guys,

i'm using afs extract7 v1.3 beta5. by your experience, how safe do you think it is, to edit stuff without having the risk of having a crashing game after hours of editing? thx

If you follow the guides thoroughly, there is not much chance of the game to crash.. I haven't used AFS though, as I feel WEMod is easier.

I have only experienced one crash so far, and I think it was a result of me being unpacient - I boosted the burning speed to 16x. So keep the burning speed at a minimum, stick to the guides and you should be fine.

Have a jolly good time patching! :D

You can edit the visible stuff in WEMod such as team kits, balls, boots, stadiums, etc. Don't know if you can edit players.. What do you want to modify? Player stats?
I'm really no wizard when it comes to editing, I just download patches and make a few modifications.

WeMod Center won't allow you to edit any of the non-graphical or sound data (it is expected to, in the forthcoming versions). However, when it comes to editing images and textures it's very useful if you 're a begginer like me. It is damn easy to insert a new kit or a ball for example. Just follow the beginner's guide from this thread and you 'll see that you don't need anything else.

I ve been searching for days to find a data editor for PES3 PS2 because most editors are intended for WE7. I have found an Italian editor in lomungtung and it seems to be able to work for PES3. I haven't tried it yet but I will in a few days and let you know.

When i try to create the soccer3.iso file with the ms-dos style screen that hes purple text it can't open some of the flies (specificaly the ones in the iso file) so i only get a soccer3.iso file that is 200Mb or so. What should i do?

Hi guys,

Thx for the WEEditor. It's better then the editor in AFS Extract.

Well, i just saw this:

"TUTORIAL 5: EDITING BALLS IN WE7 (by Jonboyo)

1 From point 4 in 'Editing Title Screen' Guide. Get your ball texture then open wemodcentre2.1. Insert new texture in:

150pl/150pl_auto/150pl_autoball/ball00tex.bin for 3 panel ball.
150pl/150pl_auto/150pl_autoball/ball01tex.bin for 4 panel ball.
The ball00mdl.bin dictates it to be a 3 panel ball (eg. Fernova)
The ball01mdl.bin dictates it to be a 4 panel ball (eg Tricolore)

eg. exporting ball00mdl.bin, renaming it to ball01mdl.bin and importing it over the original ball01mdl.bin enables a 3 panel ball to be put in: 150pl/150pl_auto/150pl_autoball/ball01tex.bin"

QUESTION: Does this applys to PES 3 (PS2 Pal version) ? I want to import Fevernova to the game. I must change both ball00tex.bin and ball01tex.bin, correct? And what about the ball00mdl.bin and ball01mdl.bin? Thx

Well, this guide is for WE7, but it´s almost the same like PES3 when it comes to editing. The difference is that there is only 1 ball in PES, and 2 balls in WE. And the PES ball model is different than the WE ball model, so I´m not quite sure if you can import the Fevernova to PES. Unfortunately we can´t change the mdl.bin files, this would solve the problem.

If you want the fevernova, go to ZtingerViper's website. He makes supreme balls for WE7/PES.. balls are compatible with both versions.

Download both mdl.bin and tex.bin for the ball you want and insert mdl.bin over ball00mdl.bin and tex.bin over ball00tex.bin.

You don't have to change both as there is only one ball in PES3.. therefore: don't bother changing the ball01.bins.

I have imported a WE ball model to my PES, and it worked like a charm, larsson. Just be sure that you get the mdl.bin file as well. ZtingerViper's site is a good place for balls. ;)

But in the thread on evo-web they say it looks weird when you use a WE ball for PES. But you may be right that you need to import the mdl file as well to make it work correctly.
