wasnt that meant to happen almost 10 years ago now? its still here and probably bigger than ever, after selling out pretty much nationwide?

There time was up come 2000, and it was for seven more years after that. It's only in the past few years that they have managed to make a relatively decent football game.

The reason it's still here is because rumour has it EA sports have a bit of money so they can keep churning out any games they want. Plus, between 2000-2007 they could rely upon hundreds of thousands of unkowledgeable chumps buying their so called football games.

played ''pes'' since ''iss'' days and never looked back. in my opinion people who dont like pes just dont have the intelligence and football knowledge to do so. fifa is like a coin operated arcade game, only fun for 10 minutes...

So u guys can yellow card me or red, i dont care...
what i will say before i go is...

FUCK FIFA, YOUR TIME IS UP AND THATS THE BOTTOMLINE...

...GOZ STONECOLD SAID SO!!!!

I don't understand what intelligence you do need to realise that PES goalkeepers are f@cked up,the same thing goes for the player animations.
Until the Japanesse football game producers will realise that players doesn't run in this ridicoulous style they will be way behind of FIFA.

yup that's the word again "unknowledgeable" and that's the precise reason EA's football games still exist.
every single football player i know buys PES but most of the guys i know that just like watching a match now and then go for FIFA and for me that explains a lot so don't be to hard on them because they just don't know any better hopefully they will get there eventually.

you don't think most pes fans are aware that the goalkeepers are liabilities half the time? Still, Fifa 10's keepers can be very dodgy as well. Fact.

Again, yes we are aware about the animations when players are running with the ball, but: a) it hardly takes anything out of the game for me, its just slightly annoying b) so your saying because of this running with the ball animation, Pes is automatically the worst game?

jokes aside, you do post a strong argument.

This is getting hilarious, oh so if you know football you play PES?
Thats just fucking dweebish man, controlling your little virtual self on the telly is not football. Go play the real thing if you think you know football..

Intelligence? Yes, surely arguments over which videogames are superior are a fantastic gauge of intelligence, Seabass and David Rutter will be giving you your noble prizes shortly, you guys have bright futures ahead of you.

Nuff said man, its my opinion and like my asshole it can take a ferocious dump when irritated. If you're happy with PES then be happy for yourself, enjoy life!

Then what do you like about PES?
FIFA destroys PES at player animations,FIFA has much more tricks and let's not talk about goalkeepers. Then you'll come and say that PES has better AI and some stuff like this which is only in your opinion, but not prooved.

Lord Shrimpeh

NAY WE ARE BUT MEN. ROCK.
PES is deeper, more realistic and more sim-like than FIFA. FIFA is more fun, less realistic and more arcadey. Even these days when it has become a bit better. On the two demos... playing Barca on FIFA feels like playing them at their best ALL THE TIME... playing Barca feels like sometimes they play their best, sometimes they play their worst, which is realistic! Sometimes it might not even be down to you, maybe a keeper fucking up, which is annoying but that's football!

If you want tricks, smooth moves and shiny animations then you pick FIFA. If you want in depth, realism and more gritty football then you pick PES. I know which I prefer cos I want a football sim, and football is often much more like the latter than the former.

same here, especially the F..... FIFA part.
anyone with basic football knowledge will always choose PES over FIFA so i will never understand why people say FIFA is better but then again intelligent people have always been in the minority.

its the depth of the game now which has become fifas strength - it has more variables than PES and is far more intuiative.

PES WAS the football fans choice up to game 6 but its been shite since and anyone who can't at least see that FIFA is the better package just has blind loyalty

the main problem with fifa is that it lacks substance and the raw emotion that pes has had through it series even in the last 2 admitidly poor releases. Ive scored some great goals in fifa but the only thing that eva brings some sort of reaction is if a do a crazy skill and leave an opponent eating my dust...in pes ill be left in awe of passes, the occasions were goalies pull of unreal saves (they do happen!) and of course goals...and i think thast somfin fifa can never have even though it has improved year in year out. When the final reasle of pes2010 drops im sure itll be a huge improvemnt on both pes2008 and 2009....pes 6? im not so sure.

you have this the wrong way around mate - FIFA has become the more realistic option by far - PES is mechanical and predictable and has aged beyond belief -this years version is no different.

So f#ck PES

'' so f#ck PES'' that more or less sums your pathetic argument up.

Ive just had a read at all of your 11 post since joining the forum, on EVERY single one you slate PES or Konami in some way.. Fair enough if you prefer Fifa to PES no one has an issue with that. What i do have an issue with (as many others do) is people like yourself that just sign up to this forum and just slate the game without posting anything constructive.

You do seem to come across as a Fifa fanboy, perhaps the best thing for you is to run along to the Fifa forum as you dont see to have anything worth while to say about PES :)

Ok then end this fifa vs pes.
We know that BOTH fifa and pes has bad goalkeeping issues.
Pes has bad animations but fifa has bad ball physics.
All in all this year, both are good in their own ways and you play what you like best.
BUT HEY, 1 THING PES ISN'T. AND THAT'S PREDICTABLE.
PES is not predictable at all especially the we demo. You score unexpectedly while in fifa I know when I am gonna score. But there are other things I like in fifa that aren't in pes and that's freedom of passing (power meter).

you should work for the un - thats is the most balanced argument I have heard.

It is predicatble though mate - its just way too rigid

no that's not it but if you think that ,it shows how much you know about football and that's just it.

football isn't just the incredible dribbling moves and all the step overs that are available in the game.

it is about the individuals that make the game, make the team and all their different talents.

a lot of teams don't have a MESSY or a CRISTIANO and still with the lack of those individuals they are able to form strong teams.
FIFA lacks this.

the best dribblers in the world ( if you ask me )didn't use step overs to fake a player(MARADONA) some still don't (MESSY).
they use your body movement as a defender and anticipate your next move and that with their great timing, ball controle and accelaration are able to pass you almost at will every time and it takes great defenders to stop talents like these.
FIFA lacks this.(the physics for this are just not in the game).

players with a great shot especially midfielders are a threat and you have to be aware of their positions and shut them down fast so they don't get an open shot which can be devastating for your keeper.
FIFA lacks this.

midfielders that are able to pass great, read the game and have good ball control matter in football and if you don't really have one in your team it shows.
FIFA lacks this.
I COULD GO ON but people with football knowledge especially those that play football will understand me others wont that's why the ones with that knowledge choose PES and are very impressed that the sport we love so much is represented in such a good way that a lot off the bull...t as licenses etc doesn't really matter it adds to it but it isn't our main concern.
FIFA has this btw.(licenses )
