Yeah, and ffs the game's been out for less than a week and people are already leaping to conclusions.

I've been playing the game solidly since the 17th, and the more I play it the more i love it.

try telling that to the WE7 fan boys: they insist it is better. I can't comment myself, but from all i've heard the differences are marginal. What's the point anyway, whether the game's called PES or WE it still rocks.

Everybody just calm down, i think a lot of people have an idea what pe3 was going to be like and when you finally play it, it seems different to what you were expecting.
I was like that at first and to be honest I enjoy playing against
a mate or on libero grande mode than playing against the cpu.
I recommend bluescouse that you play pes2 again now that
you have played the third version and should see the better
aspects of the new edition.

Give it time, which is more than what gerard houiller has !! hahaha

I have to say that I didn't like it when I bought it, but now I'm doind Master League on 5 stars and I'm happy for stickin with it. It just takes some times to adjust to, like how PES2 was different to PES.

I must admit there are a few downsides, the AI cheats sometimes i think, u try to avoid their plaayers they tackle u piss easy but they zig-zag thru ure defenders and score a soft goal

play pes3 than play pes2. Feel the difference. Pes2 is a boys game when compared to pes3.

I wonder if the difference here is that the jump from PES2 to PES3 is quite large compared to a more gentle progression from WE6 (PES2), to WE6:FE, then to WE7(PES3).

Yeah, PES 2 was very similar (on the surface) to PES, so much so that it felt more like an update than a true sequel.

the truth of the matter is everybody was looking for differences between we7 and pes3, and cos of people reading these forums and being influenced by retards with nothing better to do than put a good game down, they have been brainwashed into thinking we7 is a better game. there really is no difference, or if there is its a marginal and, to me, unnoticeable.

it speaks volumes when a moderator on what they call 'PESInsight forums', slags off pes3!! what bollocks!

im all for freedom of speech etc but wot the feck is that about.

When I got PES1, having just picked it up when at ASDA's not knowing what it was, I thought I had made a mistake with false player names etc. But soon I loved it, but like with most games, with exception to the FIFA series, it took me a lil bit to get used to the controls etc. I think to call any game shit is a bit OTT but its personal opinion. Personally I cant wait for PES3 on the PC :), and just to add I think that both PES3 and Fifa 04 are going to be great. That's right, I love Fifa, go ahead, flame me! :)

Back to the topic in question... can someone summarise the supposed "improvements" in WE7 compared to PES3?

I for one am not totally convinced having played PES3 solidly since release. It's great and everything, but... I was looking for a little something more.

Maybe I just need to give it time, but it'd be nice to know what differences people can see between it and WE7...

So over to you.
