I've got the demo expansion but where do i use f1/f2 etc and why does it keep giving me a windows alert beep when i press it i don't know how it works??

Press F2 or whatever on the screen where u select the stars you play on then press R1 and then L1 and when u do it should say 10 instead of the usual 5! If it doesnt you haven't installed it right!

Yes with ronaldo only...
R2*3 rapidily... its very cool... but if u dont press fast enough he doesnt do it right...

sometimes i find that the defences can be very deep and that not many go forward for corners etc. another thing is that it can be very easy just to hoof the ball forward and have a fast striker to run on to it and have a 1 on 1 with the keeper

It was so simple in PES3

Well, it's different now. The goalkeeper doesnt fall for a fake shot anymore, and he tends to be positioned a little better. However you can still place a shot past him, or lob him out (although lobbing has changed, since you have to hold shooting longer to shoot a decent lob)

Im very impressed with PES5 demo. Struggling using the keyboard as I never use the keyboard for any games really, but all the smaller things have added up, looks sexy i must admit. If i get the PC Version, gonna have to get myself a controller of some sort, and obviously would be alot easier to update/patch the PC Version too. My hands are tied having a PS2, Xbox and PC

I think that defending is impossible. The computer tends to keep possesion of the ball and the referee gives a foul too often! On the other hand, the computer's players seem to be always "luckier" and win all the balls. I think I will destroy many gamepads this year...

I noticed it too, but after a few more games i'm beginning to think it is just a little lack of skills and knowledge of how to defend in PES5, cause it's just different... So just keep on going, you'll get it eventually

When you've shot, press and hold R2 to make a controlled shot. That is a shot with the inside of your foot, placing (and curving) it more accurate. You lose some power, but seem to gain some accuracy. Just try a shoot+R2 and you'll see...

Ive scored one or two with the R2 shoot but scored a lot more without using it! I reckon i'll just have to get used to it!

Playing more and more the demo, I realise that the game has lost some of its arcade style and to score a goal you need to hold the ball a lot. This may be a little boring when playing with a human opponent. Chelsea with higher teamwork steals the ball more easily than the other 3 teams.Another thing I noticed is that the player you control is more dependent from the position of his teamates and the position he plays.So sometimes in defence he won't run if he is off his position.

I noticed it too, but after a few more games i'm beginning to think it is just a little lack of skills and knowledge of how to defend in PES5, cause it's just different... So just keep on going, you'll get it eventually

I figured it out already, now I am winning at 5* with good defence and not committing that many fouls.

The key is to use "shoot button(D)" to defend instead of the R1+PASS pressing. Besides you can steal the ball by just walking towards the players from the sides, or by tackling at the right time. Sliding tackles are greatly improved.

Another thing which is great, if you fall behind, you can always block the ball with the "shoot button" and your player will slide and kick the ball from behind. This is great for defending, especially against fast wingers and strikers.

This game (as said many times) is what I wanted PES5 to be, the moves are fantastic, Zidane is now special and not a player with high stats and a slow dribble!
The new positions are awsome!
Try Real Madrid, move Roberto Carlos a bit up to the midfield and set is role to Left Wing Back, a new position what is a bit simmiliar to RB/LB but more attacking, its great, just how I like to play with attacking backs!
the Shadow Striker(SS) position is really great, great addition!
The new animations are fantastic, the way how he gets the ball out of the air (jumping and stretching his leg) is also pure class, I love this game, even though I hate playing it on the PC (XBOXXXXX) it's still great, love it, love it, love it!
