I Dont know why konami didnt remove it completely. I mean on the beta version, the stutter was just stupid! They had plenty of time to sort it out after it was identified. Just laziness I suppose.

I got rid of the stutter turning off Stadium effects, fan support to neutral and commentaries off. But this only works in the exibithion games. In the exibition games in these conditions the audience responds to anything on the picht, but the PS2 doesnt go to the disk so often. In any tournament the audience is way more participative. And even with the stadium effects off and commentary off and audience behaviour to neutral it stutters really bad... Pes has been my favorite game since version 1. The gameplay usually blows fifa completely, but this bug just feel like plain stupidity (sorry about my english, i'm from Portugal)

Stutter is now gone

Hey everyone. I read all the topics of the stutter problem. And I too have it on my copy. I tried to put stadium effects off and the crowd on neutral but that didnt help in master league. (Only in exhibition). But then I changed the cameraview from wide (with witch I always played) too normal (intermediate). And now I have no stutter at all! EVEN NOT IN MASTER LEAGUE!!!!!!!!!!

I hope this helps you too because I know that stutter is (was) very annoying.

My PS2 is a SCPH30003 which i got about 2 years ago. Unfortunatelty its been on carpet and got quite alot of dust in it, and i dont hoover it regualryly. I did today though but is the damage done then? Anyway the stutter is sooooooo ennoying, i get it about 20 times a match and it really pisses me off. In exhibition i just turn the crowd off and the game is soooo smooth, but i want to play the master league but it will be so annoying. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarghhhh

Maybe they had no time to fix the stutter i think they have tried to improve to much which has obviously effected the overall gameplay, konami should of delayed the game and made sure there was stutter and perhaps done some more transfers.

Hey hasn't he got a stutter when he speaks but not when he sings , now theres a thing if he can sing stutter free but when he talks he sounds like a stuttering gimp they might be still a little hope for us all

My PS2:

- Less than 2 years old
- Never had any problems with the lens, or unit for that matter
- Rarely clean it. Sometimes I get rid of the dust on the front grill, but that's pretty much it
- Lies on carpet, horizontally
- The model number is 30002
- My TV supports 60hz
- I'm getting PES3 on October 24th (Australia PAL). I've heard that the first copies of PES3 were duds (!), hence the stuttering.

Will my copy of PES3 stutter?

Interesting Discovery!!!

I bought the Datel Ultimate PES3 update disk and downloaded the updated playernames, stats, shirts etc. Having suffered from the stutter badly I noticed that the default settings have been changed with the Datel download. All comentry off, all sound and music off and camera set to wide. The result?
No noticeable stutter in Master League - a tiny bit of slowdown in a congested penalty area - but goal kicks and long passes are as smooth as silk! A 100% improvement on what I had before.
I only bought it yesterday so I haven't had time to really test it thouroughly but first impressions are good. Also the download includes all the Premiership teams (and Forest for some reason), correct-ish strips and badges and I think they have tweaked the stats of the players to be more realistic.

I dont know if Datel know something we dont but it seems strange they have included different default settings to help overcome the stutter. I also cleaned my lens which may of helped (but I doubt it). My PS2 is 2 years old and runs through an RGB cable to a 14inch Sony Trinitron portable.

Let me know if anyone else has experienced the same thing.

Do you know when you clean the lens are you meant to use the same type of disc you use to clean cd player lens' ? or is it a diff. type?

Having played the master league for 5 days now (2* commentary, supporter stance - active, view - normal, long) I can tell you that either the stutter has gone or I simply don't notice it anymore.

All those theories about dust, old ps2's and whatever are nonsense. There is enough people with new ps2's that have stutter. Don't even mention the 'dust'-theory. Why are all my other 40 games working properly and this one not? Do I have to play games in a dust-free laboratory or what? !@#$$

I'm from Denmark and I've also got the stutter bug! Write Konami at [email protected] and let them know how you feel!

In fact I think everybody in this forum should write Konami -including the people who don't have stutter bug - and tell them that it is totally unacceptable to release a buggy game! Please help us, guys!

I've sent them an e-mail even though I seriously don't have ANY stutter in my PES3!!!

I don't know are there two or more different final versions, mine is official Australian G region PES3, I have scph 39002 (two months old, and NO I'M NOT BLIND, I JUST DON'T HAVE A STUTTER, at least five of my mates were watching together with me for a stutter and it's JUST NOT THERE!!! This is 3rd they we play it and NOPE, no stutter!!!

But, I'm supporting ALL of you that have a stutter since it is TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE to have such a thing in final version of the game...

I just sent them an email and told the that it's totally unacceptable! My game dosn't stutter that much anymore - only slightly - but I also bought the new silver satin ps2! After a while i don't notice it, so that's good! But still it's pretty anoying!
