I'm an Australian with a launch ps2 and I have stutter issues too. I'd probably never had realised it if I hadn't of read on this forum, but now it's bugging me! :p

I wonder if Konami will fix this problem? And be willing to replace all faulty copies as well?

I doubt it.

I have a slight stutter when playing the game when taking goal kicks and some times when the ball is in midfield. My PS2 is a brand new silver one purchased especially to play PES3.

Played my mates copy of PES3 on his PS2, no stutter at all Borrowed his copy to play on mine and and ran completely smooth (played about 20 games), tried my copy on his PS2 and stutter had appeared.

Bought my copy from Game, will be exchanging it for one that hopefully works.

It seems that its that version which is possibly corrupted. The first batch of anything seems to be faulty (The majority of the launch model PS2's for example)

Could I just try and clear this up once and for all. Everyone has been mentioning a stutter but not actually explained very well what this "stutter" actually does.
My copy has what I will call a stutter. What happens is I play on wide view If I take a long pass or the goalie kicks out when the ball is high in the air their is a slight flicker on the screen. I noticed it the first few times but it doesn't really bother me and I couldn't care less. This stutter I experience does not affect the game nor the enjoyment of playing. Is this is what everyone experiences or do we have real slowdown going on or are we a bunch of whinging Bar Stewards!!!

It would be great if people who don't have the stutter bug (at all) would post the batch number of their copy. That way we might be able to establish whether or not the SLES 51912 batch is the bad boy stutter batch.

So please post your batch number and state your stutter status for the record (you can find it on the back of the cover).

This for the people who have experienced the stutter. What you should do is during a ML or cup game is EJECT the dvd while in play, and what do you see or rather don`t, the damn stuttering is gone. But it is`t this easy because when a faul is committed the game goes black until you put the game back in so that`s the only drawback. (you also need the dvd when you turn ON commentary)

There is a way to stop the stutter in exhibition, you to put the crowd atendance on RANDOM and NEUTRAL as far as I know. But if you have the stutter you can`t make it go away in the cup games or ML. This hasn`t got anything to do with the crowd chants, the DVD just keeps spinning for some unknown reason (if commentary is OFF) and sometimes it gets stuck. This hasn`t got anything to do with the ps2 that is having trouble handling it. Because that`s slowdown and that`s present also, but the slowdown doesn`t affect the gameplay in any way whatsoever.

One funny thing though, why are some people saying that there isn`t any stutter?
there are 3 answers to that the first if of course, that some people have a better ps2 lens so the dvd doesn`t get stuck, or they are lucky and they have a different batch. But the majority of gamers who don`t experience the stutter it`s just because they don`t see it (and thats a very very good thing ,I wish I didn`t see the stutter!). It`s all about perception, just test it. Show the game to people who haven`t heared anything about the stutter, the won`t notice it.

So my only conclusion of this all is that konami have made a "beginners" mistake while the game was in production, the first batch of games is not correctly burned.( hell I could do a better job with nero). But if konami takes a note of this I don`t see why they can`t burn the next batch correctly.

So a tip for all the people who want a copy with no stutter: keep checking the forums and other sources and when Konami releases a none-stuttering-batch buy the game again change your current dvd with the new one and return the game back to the store

SLES 51912 is not the batch no.
Everybody has got this no. on their game.
The batch no is the one taht runs round the middle of the disc on the underside.

The problem would seem to be the discs used for the game.

I have no stutter whatsover on my game, I swapped discs with a friend who complained about the stutter and could see the stutter straight away.

My advice to you is to change your disc until you find one that doesnt stutter. (there are some out there).

I agree Arky. My batch number is A0100482267-A511 17 A1 and the game stutters.

Anyone out there who has a copy that doesn't stutter, please post the batch number and we can get an idea of which batch numbers are good.

Also, please note, the important aspect of the batch number would appear to be the last two digits which are in black. E.g, mine is A1, but I've read on another forum that batch B2 doesn't stutter.

Correction, I believe it is batch B1 that doesn't stutter. Let us know if you have a version that doesn't stutter.
