I got My PES3 and their is a slight hardly un-noticable stutter, only present on the first game. I rang Konami on behalf a friend and they said that they had a bad batch of discs and that you should return them to the store you bought them from. Hope this helps! Some people have had different things said to them about what to do about the game.

I bought PES3 2 weeks ago and I noticed the stutter!!!!
I went to game and got another copy and guess what???
it still stutters!!!!
I spoke with a lady from Konami today and she told me that they are aware of the problem but there is no official statement yet. They just received a CD today from someone with stutter problems and they were going to examin it...She said that as soon as they knew what was going on they would email me....
It bloody totally unacceptable....
Shame on you KONAMI!!!!!#

Onc Konami have released a statement, the people who have the stutter bad can then do something. I mean £40 is a lot of money to spend on a game and if its defected, then really its disgraceful.

Ok , very strange I don't know if it's really the solution but to me it is ==> ps2 setup :
Diskspeed : normal ==> fast
image quality ==> smooth ... no more STUTTER ! ...or I just got used to it and don't see it anymore ...:p

god are u all stupid?

the disk speed and image quality are for just the playstation 1.

it has nowt to do with ps2.

I just received a reply from Konami regarding the stutter bug but since I'm prohibited from passing it on I can't tell you what they have written. But I'm not too happy about their answer.

Has anyone else received an e-mail from them?

Today I aslo received an e-mail from Konami, stating the following:

We have passed on all information to R&D Department in Japan and are awaiting a response, but we do not expect a quick reply.

We have carried out our own investigations far as we are aware there is not a production problem as we have asked people who have telephoned in to give us these details from the disks and they have been from various batches. We have also tested some disks that consumers have sent in to us and they all
play in the same way.

It is impossible for us to advise if all PS2 machines have this problem with PS3 but we do think that some people have noticed the "Stutter" and others not and is really down to each persons individual perception. The information on the internet has become somewhat confused and this has caused
people who have not noticed this to look for the "stutter".

There is basically no remedy to this and you have only two options available, which are;
i) to accept the game as it is
ii) to return the game

On Behalf of Konami of Europe

Basically, what they are saying is go %^& yourself, we do not care! Total respect for your customers. As I speak Japanese I will know give Konami Japan a phone call....

Yeah, seeing this in another forum too, thought they guy was lying cos it shocked me to see that this was an "official" response but seeing as though it is, I am stunned!!!. "To accept the game as it is"????? " there is no remedy to this"???? "down to each person's perception????" WTF!! we should all be demanding a recall and for them to sort this problem out, cos there is undoubtedly a stutter, even if it's slight, it's still there....feel really let down if this is the best they can say.

Konami should replace the defected discs and thats it. We pay good money for the game and it shouldnt stutter.

Hey t1000v2.0, I wasnt lying. I should I? This anoys me and went back to source: KONAMI. We should keep their emails on fire with this stutter bug! Its a bug and it should NEVER passed the beta stage. And they admit its there. Even saying in an early email, it eas not there. They are playing with our money! And we should give them a big red card by keep pointing its a great game but the stutter keep it from being fabulous or 10/10 or 96/100...

Today I got a ring from the ones that represent Konami here in Portugal. It seems I did get Konami to think about this. And I was asked to send my copy to them so they test is. It seems I was the first one to complain and they do say it might be bacht of copys, as their copy is totally stutterless. So if my copy stutters in their machine they trade for a tested copy. This way it seems we will go to bottom of the question: whats the source of the stutter. He garanteed that his copy doesn't stutter. And he didnt discard the possibility of faulty discs. He said he wanted to solve my problem, wich I said was a lot of peoples problem. So I'm going to be without my PES3 copy for a few days, and as soon I fet a feedback, I will let you know. It seems not even Konami are certain of tha stutter and the source of it. Anyway is good to know they do give a damn after all.

Thats some kind of result...maybe we will find out a cause, or if you get another copy and it doesnt stutter, then its possibly a batch of bad copies that went on release...I think I will contact konami too..see if I can send mine there, get it tested, will confirm, if its my PS2 or the game.

We all who are bothered with the stutter have to keep this going until a real solution! They even asked if I wanted a refund. Thats not what I want. I hope is only a bacht of bad discs. But my guess is its just bad programing and all copys stutter. Not all gets bothered. The thing is it seems it was really easy to remove it: eliminating the crown animations seems to do it in exibhition. If the PS2 cant handle it, jus remove those animations. END OF STUTTER. But I really hope its just a bad bacht, I really do, as I really love this game. I just cant close my eyes in this matter as I understand it shouldn't be there. Not in a final retail copy. A beta demo I forgive. But not in this case.

Yeah, I understand you man...we shouldnt have to settle for a beta copy after paying £40, I have been buying games from the late 1980s, from the Amiga, megadrive, Playstation....if a game came out that was like this, then I understood, progamming wasnt so advanced nor was the media the games were published on...and overall game design and development wasnt to today's standard...so a programming glitch in a retail copy is unacceptable....no company should be able to get away with that.....course I love the game too, but there is no excuse for bad programming.
