The trouble is the terrible kit selection by EA makes kit clashes extremely likely, the red/black stripes seems reasonably good at avoiding them.

Great night on clubs.
Had a blast playing as an ANY , I want to play there more often. Much more enjoyable even though it's quite nerve wracking at times because your chances of screwing up improve a lot. I would rather control the whole back four though rather just being one of the defenders. Can easily stop all this nonsense spamming of lofted through balls easily what people constantly do to exploit the A. I.. Especially the full backs what are crap.

I was wondering if say we have all midfield and forward positions covered and I'm on ANY, would my VP become a defender?

Yeah, was a good evening. Played some good football and were unfortunate not to acquire more points than we did. I thought you were very good at ANY, it was great to be able to drop in for a tackle and lay it back to a defender or goalkeeper and not expect them to concede possession immediately. As Bammers said, your VP would probably move to full back.

Bez had a good session up front, not sure how many he scored but it must have been around 7/8. Have to apologise to Phat though as my passing to him was poor too often.

How did you guys do after I left?

An enjoyable session on clubs last night. First 2 games we played some lovely stuff, everyone played their part, and we played as a team, with some nice variation in football. [MENTION=14866]Sweey[/MENTION] came along for the 3rd game and almost fucked it up for us :)tongue:), but we still managed to knick a point which was good. I don't think you'll find two better goals than mine last night, amazing finishes. :smug:

Thing is, when you see how well we can play, why does it seem to go to shit every now and then, getting battered game after game, not being able to score or even create chances? It's odd.

Also, weird question [MENTION=163836]Makavelian[/MENTION] - when you're playing as ANY, does controlling feel any different to playing (eg) a seasons match (besides the fact that half the team is controlled by other humans of course)?

We won 2 more (I think), the last being a 2-0 win being down to 9 men as Original? and I got sent off for 2 wonderful thuggish challenges. Sweey saved our ass in that.

Got switched to ANY with Mak and somehow kept a clean sheet despite all the confusion of who was controlling who.

Pretty much so but sometimes it refuses to switch to a player just much more awkward. Must say it is much harder just controlling the back four on its own rather when you are also in control of a midfielder.

How good are the ANY/AI players, rating wise? They all seem very slow on the ball.

You're right about the default players, they are slow on the ball and that's why I hoof it a lot in tight situations.

Shit happens. We were by far better in last year's game and went on long unbeaten runs, but then the next session we would be WOAT due to some obvious scripting on EA's part.
