strange, my thoughts were that PES2010 looked dated compared to FIFA, and just in general

Although at times FIFA does look slow to respond, though I think that's due to the player's stats and not the game in general if that makes sense (eg player response stats: 63/100, reaction time 68/100, etc.)

the player's stats don't matter in FIFA, you must know that by now, so that ain't it.

What? In fifa the same thing happens. At least in pes, great skilled players shoot more often with inside of boot and whoever has the outside of boot ability, will make it easier to score and pass with the outside of boot. This in fifa doesn't exist. Oh and at least pes has 4 running anitmations while fifa has 1.


In pes 2009 this sometimes happens, yes, but not in pes 5 and 6.
Also playing a style of football isn't a big deal, it's just a matter on how good they are at it. Meaning even lille in reality can play like barca (meaning attack and from wings etc..) in football style, but that doesn't mean they can match Barca.
Playing style and skill are different parts.
But I know about passing in pes 09. It lacked individuality compared to previous pes, but hey, it's still better than fifa where every player passes the same. In fifa the passing is determined by who's playing it not by both the player playing the game and the player in the game.
Look at Juve for example. This year they changed their playing style.

1) I never said fifa was soooo great in terms of player individuality, so no need to mention it

2) Im talking talking about pes now, forget the past, right now, Lille play like Barca, that tells you something about how much the stats and individuality actually mean.

3) I dont want to even go down the road of comparing fifa and pes animations.....lol

4) you think pes 2010 is impressive, good for you, buy it.

2) You didn't even read my point on playing style and skill. So I suggest you do not repeat the same thing unless you read my point. Also Pes 09 still has more individuality than fifa 09.

Acutally, in FIFA 09 you can notice a huge difference between playing the big sides to the smaller, lower league ones by the style of football they play.

And be careful guys, I'm all for PES/FIFA debates, just keep them friendly.

Animations alone doesn't necesarily make a good gameplay,but FIFA has all the basic stuff like realistic animations,ball physics.PES has nothing of these,player animations are much inferior to FIFA and the ball physics are poor also(I've seen they made small improvements in PES 2010 at this chapter,however I can't see the proper animation where the leg push the ball forward).
SO KONAMI needs to work first at basic stuff,then graphics and other things like card system etc.

I've said this in my other posts but PES 2010 just looks the exact same game as it was 4 years ago - just with updated graphics & animations, it may be a good game for some and not for others, but at the end of the day look at how little progress has been made since the PS2 glory days. PES2010 is what PES2008 should have been.

And FIFA, for all its faults, has improved incredibly over the last 3 years, and this years looks like the most realistic and more importantly BEST football game ever.

While PES2010 may not be the best game again this year, its a step in the right direction, if a few years too late, and at least it looks playable compared to the shambles of the last 2 versions (IMO, but thats in the past)

FIFA is a game about football and if you like football this way it's fine but if you want to feel the realism of a real football match in a game,PES is the one u go for.

PS:I'm 17 now and I'm playing football since 10,I watched many games on TV.I believe I don't talk bullshits.

i think you are imagening things now i played the game and they all felt the same.

No.

Playing against the lower league teams is definitely different. They tend to rely on the long ball a lot more and seem content enough with what they have when the game starts, as far as the score goes. The bigger teams attack you more, which is why sometimes it leads to easier games against the big sides than the smaller ones, because spaces appear more frequently.
